Review

Since I don't have Hallmark this holiday season, I have been picking some serious duds, at least as Christmas movies. This is one of them. The meat of the story would not have been affected one little bit by being set at a different time of year and the movie doesn't feature any of the typical Christmas rom-com necessities.

The rest of the story has a very School of Rock feeling to it. A musician who isn't really qualified  to be a teacher takes over teaching children music for a showcase that can win some money. At least in this version, everyone involved knows she's not really a teacher though. And in this case it's after she ends up stranded in the tiny town because a dramatic llama made her wreck her van which also happens to be her home.

The way the relationship between Gail and Jeremy blooms is sweet and felt natural. And I really liked just how obvious it was that he didn't want to be the reason that she gave up on her lifelong dreams.

But since the movie is masquerading as a Christmas movie when it is not one, I cannot rate it any higher. - Katie
