Review
Angelina is a singer a little past her prime, facing being replaced by a hot new singer. She's been struggling to write anything new and is becoming irrelevant. Her producer suggests she write a Christmas song to stay relevant, because it worked for Mariah Carey.
After being bumped off a cover photo shoot in favor of the new girl, she makes the impulsive decision to go make a fan's dream come true. On a whim she drives to the fan's school, that was conveniently tagged in her geotagged video, just to take a selfie with her.
This movie features getting snowed in by a blizzard, ugly Christmas sweaters, tamale making (which I'm only assuming is somewhat of a tradition for hispanic families) a Christmas benefit, and a brand new hit Christmas song. And an artist realizing that competition isn't necessary. There's enough room for both of them.
This movie is borderline a Christmas movie. It doesn't hold all the Christmas magic I expect, but I think it has just enough to qualify, but just barely. The major highlights were Freddie Prinze Jr and an amazing quinceanera dance.
