I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This story shows what happens when you give your elves too much freedom. They steal your sleigh on the most important night of the year because they want a lake vacation.

I like how this story imagines different elf departments at the North Pole. It's definitely in line with me telling my kids our second Elf on the Shelf worked in the accounting department. And it makes sense too, because you've got to have some specialities up there to keep things running smoothly, right?

The illustrations were bright and colorful with just enough detail to make them interesting without being too complicated and distracting. I wouldn't have minded reading this book to my kids a few times when they were younger, which is always a bonus when you're buying children's books, because you're going to have to read them more than once.

Overall I give this book 4.1 out of 5 stars. - Katie
