Review
Holly is strolling downtown with her boss who is also her best friend when she makes a wish to find Mr. Right. Except she says it twice. It comes up that she doesn't have a Christmas tree, and her boss insists that she go buy on immediately, with the company card.
At the tree lot she meets a guy who is a Christmas tree enthusiast. He helps her pick out a tree and even ties it onto her car for her. They really hit it off so she gives him her phone number. Guess what his last name is. Wright!
On the drive home, however, her tree comes loose and lands on top of a dude. He rages about the person who tied the knots to secure the tree, and offers to help her get it home. They spend the evening decorating her tree, and then get takeout and he gives her his number.
After receiving no response to multiple text messages she sent to tree decorating guy, she agrees to spend Christmas in the mountains with Mr. Wright's family. Guess who answers the door. Tree decorating guy! Her two wishes were granted, because she met two Mr. Wrights that day.
My favorite part of the movie is that the Wright brothers are played by Joey and Matthew Lawrence. I didn't recognize Joey, and wasn't sure it was Matthew, until all three of them were sitting next to each other for dinner and about died laughing when I realized what they'd done for this movie.
This movie features Christmas tree buying, tree decorating, sledding, awkward family time with an outsider and two brothers battling for one lady's heart.
This movie borders on not being a Christmas movie, but I think it has just enough magic to put it over the line for me.
