Review
Do you like the movie Groundhog Day? Do you wish it was set during Christmas instead? If you answered yes to these questions, boy do I have good news for you.
After Christmas Day goes horribly wrong for Rowena, she rushes outside her house to mope and meets who she refers to as Tall Santa. She makes some comment about wanting a Christmas do-over, and you know what they say about being careful what you wish for. If you are at all familiar with the plot of Groundhog Day, I'm sure you can see where this is going.
Rowena gets up to various hijinks on her plethora of Christmas days, which brings me to a problem with the movie. While everyone else has no memory of this day already happening, there would still be repercussions on the day of. The days when she takes Mom's credit card and heads out, someone would have to notice she's missing all day. We should see her coming home to police presence and worried parents. There aren't enough people in the house to warrant a "We forgot Kevin!" kind of incident. I just cannot suspend belief enough to get to parents just don't care.
I'm even leaning towards declaring this not a Christmas movie. With some slight tweaking, the vast majority of the plot points could take place on any other holiday of the year, like Groundhog day for instance.
