*31 Days of Christmas* Christmas Next Door

Thanksgiving is over and the countdown to Christmas has officially begun (at least in my house). I don't limit myself to just reading cheesy Christmas romances during this time of year. Oh no. I also find myself binge watching Christmas movies on Netflix and the Hallmark Channel. And I thought, why not incorporate that into my blog as well. So I give you the 31 Days of Christmas (which will be much easier to accomplish with movies than books like I've tried to do in past years).

Next up is Christmas Next Door.

Watched on: Hallmark
Duration: 1 hour, 26 minutes
Originally aired on: 16 December 2017
Directed by: Jonathan Wright
Starring: Jesse Metcalfe, Fiona Gubelmann, and Britrany Bristow

Eric Randall, an author of bachelor lifestyle books, is left in charge of his young niece and nephew for the holidays. Eric turns to his neighbor April, a lover of all things Christmas, for help.

Beefcake Jesse Metcalfe plays Eric Randall, a consummate Christmas grinch in this movie. He apparently has several reasons why he hates the holiday season and refers to it as the Christmas curse, but that doesn't stop his mom from scheming to get him to embrace the spirit of the season again anyway. Add a cute, super jolly, single next door neighbor and you've got the standard recipe for a cheesy Christmas romance.

With the help of his niece and nephew, his heart finally starts to thaw and I couldn't help but hope the kids would stick around forever, you know, just in case Eric relapses. They also happen to be super great at keeping April, the next door neighbor, in the picture. And when Beefcake Eric obviously starts to fall for April, so much swooning. Metcalfe plays a great heartthrob.

This movie includes cookie decorating, ice skating, and festive yard decorating shenanigans.

I would probably watch this movie any time I saw it on tv (and maybe buy the DVD for myself) because I've had a bit of a thing for Metcalfe since he was on Desperate Housewives
