*31 Days of Christmas* The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Thanksgiving is over and the countdown to Christmas has officially begun (at least in my house). I don't limit myself to just reading cheesy Christmas romances during this time of year. Oh no. I also find myself binge watching Christmas movies on Netflix and the Hallmark Channel. And I thought, why not incorporate that into my blog as well. So I give you the 31 Days of Christmas (which will be much easier to accomplish with movies than books like I've tried to do in past years).

Next up is The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

Synopsis

A hard-working, single mother falls for a stranger her father brings home for the holiday season. However, he is unimpressed with her attitude towards Christmas and is willing to walk away if she refuses to change.

Review

When a cancelled flight leaves GUY stranded at the airport, GIRL's uncle invites him to stay with them until the flights to Denver resume. She reluctantly agrees and that's when the magic starts. He immediately starts making himself useful around the house, putting up her Christmas lights, cooking delicious meals, and even helping her get the one thing her son asked Santa to bring him for Christmas. 

While GIRL was a bit prickly with GUY, it was never both of them at each other's throats like in most Christmas rom-coms, and her prickliness wasn't entirely unreasonable (I mean he was a complete stranger in her home after all). The moments where they really seemed to connect made me hope for things I wasn't sure I could count on from this movie. 

This movie includes an unexpected houseguest, an over-eager neighbor, and a surprise Christmas Eve visit from "Santa." 

I'd watch this again but wouldn't actively seek it out. The story was fun and overall heartwarming, but not super-squeal inducing.
