We are on to a new week for the Book Blogger Hop hosted by the lovely folks over at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. This weeks questions is:
In the past, I've been in a book club where we did a book exchange for Christmas. That's actually how I got my copy of 11/22/63 by Stephen King (and part of why it's a hardcover because it was his new release at the time and not yet out in paperback). It was definitely fun to do at the time, and I'd love to do it again if I could just get into a book club here.
What about you? Are you in a book club that does a Christmas book exchange? - Katie

Does your book club have a book exchange for the holidays or any other time during the year? If you don't belong to a book club, do you think that would be something fun to do?(submitted by Elizabeth @Silver's Reviews)I'm not currently in a book club, at least not one that meets with any regularity, although a couple ladies from my last book club have also moved to the same area where I live now and we try to meet up for dinner at least once a month even if we don't read a book first. So at the moment, there is no book exchange going on.

You guys should totally start your own book club! :-D
ReplyDeleteThe only problem with that is that there's only three of us, and there's about a 30 mile difference between where two of us live. On top of that, one of us is getting ready to PCS to a new duty station now too (although she's one of the two creating that 30 mile difference).
DeleteI actually tried to start a book club over the summer, but there was not enough interest because apparently the local library already has one (although finding information on that online is impossible, and ain't no way I'm going to CALL SOMEONE ON THE PHONE to ask about a book club).
Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
Getting together with reader friends even if not officially book club is always fun regardless, right? That was a very nice book club exchange!
