*31 Days of Christmas* A Shoe Addict's Christmas

Thanksgiving is over and the countdown to Christmas has officially begun (at least in my house). I don't limit myself to just reading cheesy Christmas romances during this time of year. Oh no. I also find myself binge watching Christmas movies on Netflix and the Hallmark Channel. And I thought, why not incorporate that into my blog as well. So I give you the 31 Days of Christmas (which will be much easier to accomplish with movies than books like I've tried to do in past years).

Next up is A Shoe Addict's Christmas.

Synopsis

Noelle, a holiday hater who toils in a department store in which she is accidentally locked on Christmas Eve. There, she meets a woman who identifies herself as Noelle's guardian angel and introduces her to several "ghosts" of Christmases past, present, and future.

Review

This is a typical modern day holiday romance with a bit of a Christmas Carol twist. Noelle is the typical hardworking, Christmas avoiding woman we expect to see in our cheesy Christmas movies, and she needs a bit of a push to get her back in the spirit of things. Enter her holiday guide. 

While Noelle does not get visits from three spirits to encourage her to change her ways (because she's not actually on the road to complete ruin), her bumbling spirit guide does take her on a few journeys to see how things could've been had she made different choices in her life, taken a few risks. All in the hopes that she will open herself up to live a little and follow her dreams, and you know, maybe hook up with the hottie she's destined to be with. 

This movie features a gala that our heroine must work on with her annoying new neighbor, while strictly sticking to her boss's strict guidelines; a snowy rescue by a sexy fireman; and magical shoes. 

I'd say that A Shoe Addict's Christmas hits pretty much all the major Christmas movie requirements and it's left me interested in reading the book. So that's pretty much a win for me.
