*Top Ten Tuesday* Favorite Book Club Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Joood - Hooligan of Platypire reviews bossed me into doing this, so I guess this is a thing I do now.

This week's theme is a freebie. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I hate freebie weeks because I'm so horrible at coming up with my own themes for top ten Tuesday. It took me about an hour of agonizing deliberation, but I have decided to feature my ten favorite book club reads this week. These are in no particular order.

Life After Life by Kate Atkinson

The Hangman's Daughter by Oliver Potzsch

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon

Unroken by Laura Hillenbrand

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

The Winemakers by Jan Moran

Even though I've quite enjoyed most of the books that I've read for my book clubs over the years, these are the ten books that I enjoyed most. And I think a large part of that is that I remember the discussions for these books being particularly engaging.

Are you in a book club? If so, what are a few of your favorite book club reads? I can always use some ideas for future reads after all (although I could also recycle any of these in my current book club). - Katie

*If you're stopping by from the linkup, please be sure to drop a link to your post below so I can stop by and check out your list for this week (and maybe steal your theme for a future freebie week).*

  1. I have see "The Night Circus" around SO many places - from lists to booktube. Makes me curious to discover what it's all about. I've also seen good things about Kristin's books. :)

  3. What great choices! I can see why you've picked these ones. I imagine they would get a lot of discussion going. My TTT

  4. Unbroken was a good book. I ran into a lady at work today with a "I Like Big Books and I Cannot Lie" tote bag, and that was the book she was currently reading. I need to get one of those tote bags just so I can talk to bookish people!

    1. I have a bookish tote, but not one that says I Like Big Books and I Cannot Lie (I definitely need one of those too). Thanks for stopping by. - Katie

  5. Sometimes I just look back at old topics and pick one. The ones I immediately thought of are actually topics for the next few weeks. Lots of popular books here.

    1. Yeah, I may try that next time we have a freebie week. Although stealing other people's ideas is a good option too. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie

    1. I you enjoy historical fiction, you should definitely read The Hangman's Daughter and Life After Life (although Sofia the Great from Platypire Reviews did not enjoy Life After Life, but everything she disliked about it were things I loved so...) Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
