*Stacking the Shelves* 22 December 2018

(Titles link to Amazon via Amazon Affiliate links)

Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too, which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon.

On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads First Reads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.

Decoding Faces by Dan Hill
The Esoteric Apprentice by Steven Chernikeeff
Living Proof by Peter J. Thompson
The Enchanted Sonata by Heather Dixon Wallwork - I snagged this beauty on sale for just 99 cents (maybe still on sale). I plan on reading it for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge at some point.
The Whole of the Moon by Rush Leaming
The Third King: Coronation by Brian D. Campbell
Perpetual Falcon: The Legacy Continues by V.F. Gutierrez
Putting the Outside Inside Kids: A Father's Algonquin Journey with his Daughter by Bill Kennedy
A Young Man's Quest for Love and Independence by Abdullahi M Arale
Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge by Rebecca Raisin - I grabbed this book for just 99 cents (maybe still 99 cents). I plan on reading it for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge at some point.
A Stag Family Christmas by Lainey Davis - I got this book on sale for just 99 cents (no longer on sale). It'll be a great read for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge some time.
Very Merry Wingmen by Daisy Prescott - I grabbed this book for just 99 cents (maybe still 99 cents). I plan on reading it for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge some time in the future.
Christmas in the Mountains by Phoebe Alexander - I snagged this book as a freebie (no longer free) so that I can read it in the future for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge.
The Woodcutter by Kate Danley - I grabbed this book on sale for just $1.99 (no longer on sale). I'd originally passed it over when I saw it was one of the Kindle Daily Deals (although it had piqued my interest), but then I saw it shared by the author on Facebook and decided to grab it anyway.
The Wayward Bride by Anna Bradley
Sugar and Spice by Christine d'Abo
The Trouble on Highway One by Anne McClane
Mother Mary Comes to Me and Other Poems by Bruno Zogma
The Crown Contest by John Phythyon - I snagged this book as a freebie (maybe still free). I was really drawn in by the cover when I saw it shared on Facebook.
The Legend of Holly Claus by Brittney Ryan - I got this book on sale for just 99 cents (no longer on sale). It looks like it could be a cute read for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge, although it's somewhat long.
The Improbability of Love by Hannah Rothschild - I grabbed this book on sale for just $2.99 (maybe still on sale). I'd gotten a copy of this through Penguin's First to Read program (not quite sure how at this point because it was a while ago) and my loan expired before I had time to read it. Now I can.
The Christmas Secret by Karen Swan - I snagged this book on sale for just $1.99 (maybe still on sale). It'll be a good read for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge at some point.
The Butchering Art: Joseph Lister's Quest to Transform the Grisly World of Victorian Medicine by Lindsey Fitzharris - I had some Great on Kindle ebook credit expiring this week, so I decided to grab this book, because I'm rather intrigued by the history of modern medicine, oddly enough.
The Last Palace: Europe's Turbulent Century in Five Lives and One Legendary House by Norman Eisen - I noticed this book was available through Great on Kindle, and I still had some credit leftover so I bought it. It's a book I'd guaranteed on Penguin's First to Read program and ran out of time on my loan before I got around to reading it.
Love, Marriage, Family: Keys to the Future and to the Present by Kenneth Chastain
Improving Students' Academic Achievement: The Essentials by kenneth Chastain
Maniac Manifesto by Derek Thompson
Operation Second Starfish by Susan R. Kayar
Serafina and the Splintered Heart by Robert Beatty - I grabbed this book on sale for just 99 cents (no longer on sale). I have the first book in the series already, so getting the second was kind of important to me.
Going Nowhere by Lena North - I snagged this book for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared in a sponsored post by the author on Facebook.
Alizarin Crimson by Erica Millard
Finders Keepers: The Definitive Edition by Russ Colchamiro
Dominion: Seeds of Alliance by Sam Ferguson - I grabbed this book as a freebie (maybe still free) after seeing it in an author newsletter.
The Dragon's Test by Sam Ferguson - I got this book as a freebie (maybe still free) after seeing it shared in an author newsletter.
Nena by Ann Boelter
Christmas Cake Murder by Joanne Fluke - I grabbed this book on sale for just $1.99 (no longer on sale). I have a lot of Fluke's books that I found at my thrift store when we were living in Germany, so getting my hands on her newest release on sale was nice for me. And I'll be able to use this for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge in the future.
The Cowboy's Christmas Miracle by RaeAnne Thayne - I got this book on sale for just $1.99 (no longer on sale). This will be a great read for my 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge at some point in the future.
Dimwater's Demons by Sam Ferguson - I got this book for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared in an author newsletter.
Shadowed by Thomas Waite
The 90's (Life on the Road) by T.J. Wray
The Katy Regnery Christmas Collection by Katy Regnery - I snagged this book for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared by one of the Celebrity Readers on Facebook.
Seal of Fate: Rain Historical Archives by Fleur Smith - I got this book for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared somewhere on Facebook.
The Magical Christmas Do Over by Linda West - I got this book for just 99 cents (maybe still 99 cents) after seeing it in a PixelOfInk ad. It'll be a great read for the 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge.

So that's all the new books I picked up this past week. What new books have you added to your shelves recently? - Katie

    1. I'm going to be a bit sad after Christmas when they're not on sale all over the place...although I'm sure my husband will appreciate me not one-clicking so many new books each week. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie

  4. A Young Mans Quest for Love and Independence looks good. And I'm intrigued by Putting the Outside Inside kids one as well. Of course your Xmas books look great. I wish I had more time to read them for the #12booksofxmas challenge.

  5. How many Christmas books did you get read for the challenge? I'm intrigued by Very Merry Wingmen, but I'm wondering if it's mostly just for people who've read the series...
