Six months after having been hit by a power surge that nearly obliterated her memory, Delilah Harlow is still picking up the pieces. Her once diamond-sharp mind has become shaky and unreliable, and bristly, self-sufficient Delilah is forced to rely on friends, family, and her raven familiar for help. In an effort to reclaim her wits and former independence, she casts a dangerous blood spell meant to harness power with healing capacities.
While the spell does restore clarity, it also unexpectedly turns Delilah into an irresistible beacon for the kind of malevolent supernatural creatures that have never before ventured into Thistle Grove. One night—just as things are about to go terribly sideways with a rogue succubus—a mysterious stranger appears in the nick of time to save Delilah’s soul.
Gorgeous, sultry, and as dangerous as the knives she carries, Catriona Quinn is a hunter of monsters—and half-human, half-fae herself, she is the kind of sly and morally gray creature Delilah would normally find horrifying. Though Delilah balks at the idea of a partnership, she has no choice but to roll the dice on their collaboration. As the two delve deeper into the power that underlies Thistle Grove, they uncover not only the town’s hidden history but also a risky attraction that could upend Delilah’s entire life.
Raised by a mother whose ironclad motto is “men are trash,” Iza longs to prove her wrong, ideally with a kind, steady boyfriend who will free her from the exhausting treadmill that is dating. Although she’s willing to try (almost) anything to find love, accidentally summoning a wish-granting stranger out of thin air was never part of the plan.
Unfortunately, Beckett, her personal wish-granter, isn’t exactly the sage and generous being she would expect. Instead, he loves to party, has attitude to spare, and boasts an uncanny ability to point out Iza’s worst flaws. Iza decides to use one of her three wishes to create her dream man—a modern Mr. Darcy. If that esteemed gentleman can’t impress her overbearing mother, no one can. Using Pride and Prejudice as the handbook to Darcy’s heart, Iza plays the part of Elizabeth Bennet and sets out to create her epic love story.
Making wishes and winning Darcy over becomes more complicated than Iza expects, especially with Beckett’s adorably dimpled grin and unexpected kindness in the equation. Soon enough, she’s glimpsing the truth of the man behind the flippant persona, and each moment in his company makes her question everything she thought she wanted from love.
As the only woman programmer at her firm, Lark is thrilled to land an account for a huge client. But her dream job quickly becomes a nightmare when she accidentally projects a scandalous (and completely unsolicited) picture from her phone onto the screen during a presentation. Before she can recover, her coworkers jump in to steal the account, leaving Lark jobless and broke.
When a friend suggests text message-based sex work as a stopgap between jobs, Lark is dubious. She's all about sex positivity, but carrying out sexual fantasies—even digitally and anonymously—with complete strangers is daunting. How will she explain how she’s earning a living—especially to Toby, her good friend and longtime hopeless crush?
Still, she needs the money, and after a few (embarrassing and hilarious) she actually starts to like sexting—especially with one particularly charming and nerdy client who keeps popping up in her DMs. But as Lark and Toby grow closer, she finds herself with a decision to make: tell Toby she’s a sex worker—and try to forget the anonymous client who has her struggling to separate work from real feelings—or keep the secrets that are piling up in her inbox.
Sure to appeal to readers of Helen Hoang and Jen DeLuca, Amber Roberts’s Text Appeal celebrates women in STEM, friends becoming lovers, and finding lasting love in the digital age.
Lots of people get pre-wedding jitters, but Bailey Tomlin’s are a bit extreme. Paranoia . . . the sudden ability to communicate with her pet parrot . . . something odd is definitely happening. And while Bailey searches for the perfect dress, she discovers the unexpected reason why: her birth mother, Esme, is an actual witch, part of a magical clan in the neighboring town of Zenobia, New York. Esme insists that Bailey, too, has witch blood in her veins. That’s not going to play well with Bailey’s uptight future in-laws . . .
Then there’s Seton Atterbury, the man Esme somehow conjured into the present day from 1930, and who keeps crashing into Bailey’s plans. In addition to figuring out seating charts and boutonnieres, Bailey now has to navigate her new witch family, keep an unseen enemy from hexing the ceremony, placate her fiancé, and get Seton back to his own time. But Seton doesn’t know if he wants to go back. And though Bailey’s about to marry someone else—someone who isn’t technically 120 years old—it’s just possible she doesn’t want Seton to go back either . . .
It is the year 1814, and life for a young lady of good breeding has many difficulties. There are balls to attend, fashions to follow, marriages to consider, and, of course, the tiny complication of existing in a world swarming with fairy spirits, interfering deities, and actual straight-up sorcerers.
Miss Maelys Mitchelmore finds her entry into high society hindered by an irritating curse. It begins innocuously enough with her dress slowly unmaking itself over the course of an evening at a high-profile ball, a scandal she narrowly manages to escape.
However, as the curse progresses to more fatal proportions, Miss Mitchelmore must seek out aid, even if that means mixing with undesirable company. And there are few less desirable than Lady Georgianna Landrake—a brooding, alluring young woman sardonically nicknamed “the Duke of Annadale”—who may or may not have murdered her own father and brothers to inherit their fortune. If one is to believe the gossip, she might be some kind of malign enchantress. Then again, a malign enchantress might be exactly what Miss Mitchelmore needs.
With the Duke’s help, Miss Mitchelmore delves into a world of angry gods and vindictive magic, keen to unmask the perpetrator of these otherworldly attacks. But Miss Mitchelmore’s reputation is not the only thing at risk in spending time with her new ally. For the reputed witch has her own secrets that may prove dangerous to Miss Mitchelmore’s heart—not to mention her life.

Two rival spies must brave pirates, witches, and fake matrimony to save the Queen.
Known as Agent A, Alice is the top operative within the Agency of Undercover Note Takers, a secret government intelligence group that is fortunately better at espionage than at naming itself. From managing deceptive witches to bored aristocratic ladies, nothing is beyond Alice’s capabilities. She has a steely composure and a plan always up her sleeve (alongside a dagger and an embroidered handkerchief). So when rumors of an assassination plot begin to circulate, she’s immediately assigned to the case.
But she’s not working alone. Daniel Bixby, otherwise known as Agent B and Alice's greatest rival, is given the most challenging undercover assignment of his life— pretending to be Alice’s husband. Together they will assume the identity of a married couple, infiltrate a pirate house party, and foil their unpatriotic plans.
Determined to remain consummate professionals, Alice and Daniel must ignore the growing attraction between them, especially since acting on it might prove more dangerous than their target.
Oooo - Netgalley Roulette sounds dangerous. I'm actually very specifically ignoring Netgalley for a while till I get caught up..... I over requested and now other books I want to read are languishing on my shelves. But, looks like you requested some fun ones. I already have Psyche & Eros on my TBR. Have a great week.

Netgalley Roulette is absolutely dangerous. I get approved for way more of the books I ask through it than I think I should, every single time. Although lately I've at least been doing a pretty good job of keeping up with my ARCs, so it's less confusing as to why I'm getting approved right now.

I love that 'Tea and Treason' title! So cute and makes me want to learn more about that one. :) Hope if you read all of these, you find some to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI started getting pickier with my choices by the time I got that far in my list, so you know the title is good since it made it. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI hope you enjoy any and all that you are approved for! You are so brave playing this game so often, I'd be afraid I would be stuck with a lot of books to read in a short amount of time.

Oh, that fear is absolutely valid...My reading calendar is starting to look scary. My only saving grace is that I can sneak in some reading at work on occasion which helps me keep up. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI take note of my favourite responses to freebie posts and sometimes borrow those ideas for future freebie posts. Feel free to do the same thing if you wish!
ReplyDeleteFake Dates and Mooncakes looks cute.

This is fun! I really want the Christina Lauren myself.
ReplyDeleteYeah, so far that's the only one I've been denied, but I'm not surprised in the least. I know how popular Christina Lauren is in the blogging world at least. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI hope you enjoy these if you get approved for them! Netgalley Request Roulette seems like a dangerous game to play!

It is so dangerous. So very dangerous. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI can understand why you would be scared to do this for a third time. That's the possibility of 30 ARCs! Yikes! Is it bad for me to say I hope you mostly get denied? Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteOh honey, this is the 4th round since the beginning of January...That's a possibility of 40 ARCs...and so far I've been approved far more than denied. A part of me was also hoping to be denied for most of these, but the odds are not looking good for that (and a part of me would have been super sad if I was denied for most of them because I wanna read ALL the books.)

The Vanishing at Castle Moreau sounds like one I'd enjoy! And I just need to stay away from Netgalley until I get caught up. Caught up. Bahahahaha! I make myself laugh.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
Caught up? What's that? LOL. I also need to stay away from Netgalley...I won't, but I need to.

DeleteI always blank on freebies. I've been doing TTT posts for so long, I'm kind of tapped out on coming up with my own prompts, you know?
ReplyDeleteThese books all look cute. I hope you're approved for them.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
I took like a two year hiatus from blogging and still am not creative enough to come up with freebie topics...so I gamble on Netgalley instead. LOL. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteThese look like such cute reads and The Vanishing at Castle Moreau sounds very interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteNetgalley roulette sounds like such an interesting concept! How long ago were your other two times? Maybe you'll be okay if you get approved for more? You chose some great ones though. Hopefully you'll get to read them eventually. Great post :)
ReplyDeleteThis is my fourth round of roulette, since January 1st of this year. And I'm getting approved for WAY too many of these books, and the only saving grace is that some of them don't release until like August. My March calendar is looking very scary right now though. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteTTT Freebies are kind of hard to come up with. I came up with a topic this week, even those I don't like romance.
ReplyDeleteI used to think I was creative, until I started trying to come up with freebie blog topics. Now I'm questioning my entire life. LOL. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteFreebies are hard. I'm not that creative! I hope you get approved for these books.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you wish that on me!?!?! LOL. Netgalley Roulette is always a mixed bag for me because I want the books, but logical me knows that getting them all would not be good for my sanity. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
