Off the book topic - What is your favorite scary movie? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)This is going to go along with last week's hop answer a bit because it's Stephen King's It. While I was a bit disappointed with the changes they made from the story to the original movie, I understand why most of them were necessary. As far as the remake goes, well I haven't seen it yet.
What about you? What's your favorite scary movie? - Katie

Great pick! I haven't seen either version, but I'm hoping to soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the original (obviously or it wouldn't have been my answer), but didn't want to go see the new one all by myself in theaters and none of my friends here were interested in seeing it with me. But I'll see it eventually.

I haven't read or seen either (I should remedy that), but I know a certain scene at the end would NEVER happen. Which is fine by me. D:

If you enjoy horror at least a little, you really should (unless you're deathly afraid of clowns, and then maybe just stick to reading because Pennywise isn't as big a part of the written story as he is the movie).

I've never worked up the courage to see It. I've enjoyed The Shining but that's about all I can handle when it comes to Stephen King!
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a different type of movie than The Shining, although The Shining is another favorite of mine.

Right. Seeing everyone talking about it on Facebook when it first released made me so jealous. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI haven't seen either version yet myself, but I would love to see both someday!

The original version is definitely worth a watch as long as you're never terrified of clowns (or enjoy indulging in that particular terror).

I've never seen the original movie all the way through, but I did recently see the new film, which was okay.
ReplyDeleteI think you're the first person I've seen that has seen the new version that didn't absolutely love it.

It is one of those movies I haven't seen in YEARS but the memories are so strong I refuse to re-watch it, lol. Needless to say, I wont be touching the re-make with a 20ft pole! :)

It's been a few years since the last time I watched it too, but it's one I'm happy to rewatch.
