*Platypire Read-A-Thon* October

It is my second favorite month of the year. I have a slight love affair with Halloween, but December edges October out for the top spot as it's host to both Christmas and my birthday, it's just hard to compete with that. Now after an abysmal showing last month, I'm going to try and do much better this month both in getting reviews written and in getting books read. The latter should be easy since five of the books on my list right now are proofreads, and those are absolute must-reads, no putting them off for other stuff. Ideally, I'll knock several books off my list this month though. I'm going to shoot to at least get the children's books read and reviewed if nothing else.

But without further ado, here's my list for October.

Now that is what I call progress. I only added four books (and three sneak peeks) to my list to be read in October. That's basically an all-time low for me! And this is the month that I'm going to get all caught up on writing reviews (maybe).

So, how many books do you think I can get read this month? What books are you planning on reading? - Katie

  1. I don't plan out the whole month. I'm all caught up on my reviews except for two and then one for later in the month. I have a TON on my TBR so I'm thinking about making a serious dent in that.

    1. I don't really plan out the month either...honestly...I just have this list as a general guideline that I try to stick to (I mostly fail at that). It mostly consists of books I've gotten on Netgalley or through Penguin's First to Read program. It's supposed to shame me into getting those books read, but so far it hasn't worked too well. - Katie
