*Review* It's Not Ewwww...It's You by Sharon Leya

 Genre: Children's 2-6 years

Welcome to Professor Ewe's classroom, where you’ll embark on a delightful journey through the fascinating (yet grossest) functions of the human body.

Professor Ewe is an Einstein-like female sheep who shares just as much excitement for the intricacies of the human body as she does for the art of teaching science.

Enjoy a laugh-out-loud exploration that will leave you and your child in fits of laughter, as Professor Ewe delves into some of the quirkiest things our bodies do - from flatulence to earwax to urine - and a whole lot of other icky stuff in between.

Kids will learn how the grossest things we snicker at are actually incredible marvels of nature that help them stay healthy and strong. And be sure to look closely at the illustrations – there are delightful and humorous treasures on every spread, skillfully crafted by the talented Janne Maru, Illustrator.

"It's Not EWWWW...it's YOU" is a invitation to share a side-splitting laugh with your young science explorer, while delivering a focused and engaging bite-sized STEM-based lesson in health sciences. Professor Ewe guarantees it will be one of the most-loved preschool science items in your classroom.

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This book sort of rhymes, and when there isn't a rhyme for what they're describing it says "It's not ewww, it's you" to force the rhyme. But like that's kind of a repetitive and lazy way to accomplish that. The story describes some of the most disgusting and gross bodily functions, explaining why they're necessary and kind of why we shouldn't consider them as gross as we do, because again, they're necessary.

I like the book for it's educational value, and potty humor is always a good thing in my opinion, so I would definitely be okay reading this book a few times at least, but I think the rhyming situation would start to annoy me after a little while. The illustrations were bold and colorful.

Overall I give It's Not Ewwww...It's You 3.7939 out of 5 stars. - Katie
