*Top Ten Tuesday* Books I Haven't Reviewed on the Blog (Yet)

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Joood - Hooligan of Platypire reviews bossed me into doing this, so I guess this is a thing I do now.

This week’s theme is books I never reviewed, but I'm tweaking it just a smidgen, because I do have a massive backlog of book reviews to write, but I don't have any books that I just decided to not review on the blog. I think all reviews are potentially valuable, even when they're somewhat negative because the things I didn't like a book might just be someone else's cup of tea. So I'm going to be featuring the ten books that have been waiting for me to get them reviewed the longest. Let's go!

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
I finished this book on January 5, 2024

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
I finished this on January 7. 2024

Butcher and Blackbird by Brynne Weaver
I finished this on January 7, 2024

The Kingdom of Sweets by Erika Johansen
I finished this on January 9, 2024

Into the Sunken City by Dinesh Thiru
I finished this on January 9, 2024

This Is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel
I finished this on January 12, 2024

The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean
I finished this on January 13, 2024

When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore
I finished this on January 16, 2024

The Sunlit Ruins by Andrea Septien
I finished this on January 17, 2024

The Man In the High Castle by Philip K. Dick
I finished this on January 17, 2024

This list does not include books that I read before these for which I've handwritten reviews, but not yet posted them on the blog. Because those reviews are written, you just haven't seen them yet. I honestly thought my handwritten reviews had gotten me to at least February of 2024, but apparently not. I guess my goal for the rest of the month is to rectify that, if I can, but I've got quite a bit going on between now and March, so we'll see.

Any of these books you're really anxious to read my review for?

If you're stopping by from the linkup, please be sure to drop a link to your post below so I can return the visit when I have time. - Katie

  1. I had to go back and review This Is How It Always Is after attending an author event with Laurie Frankl. What a good book. Good luck catching up! My list: https://headfullofbooks.blogspot.com/2025/02/ttt-books-ive-read-but-never-reviewed.html

  2. I agree that sharing my thoughts and opinions on books can be valuable to others. But I don't always feel the need, or desire, to write an complete review. I do write reviews, even if it is a brief one, on Goodreads.

  5. Yes, a negative review can be just as helpful as a positive one! What annoys me might be just what a different reader loves.

  6. I haven't seen a lot of people talk about Into the Sunken City but that's on my TBR and I'm keen to give it a try :) I've also got The Book Eaters on my TBR and I've heard so many interesting things about it. Did you enjoy those books?

  7. Oh well, Clockwork Angel (and the entire TID (and TMI) series) should have been on my list as well.

  9. I tend to get my reviews up pretty quick these days, or written. I put my monthly L-L-L Review post started when the month begins and add the reviews as I finish them. I had to go way back to before I started blogging to find some. Although I'm sure there are books I never got reviews post on since then too. Great list, I loved Fourth Wing and just finally read it in December!

  10. I have quite the backlog of reviews to write too. I haven't read any of the books on your list--yet. Hopefully someday. :-) I like reading negative reviews sometimes and have found them helpful, especially when I'm on the fence about a book. Sometimes they sway me to pick up a book even sooner.
