Who changes the world one day at a time?

Taking the pieces and making them rhyme?

Who gives us the tools to face the hard climbs?

The teachers we see every day!

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This is a cute little rhyming story that points out why we should appreciate the teachers in our lives. While it's geared towards children, I think there are definitely some adults that would benefit from the lessons as well.

The rhymes in this story flowed really well, although it kind of bothered me that the fourth line in each stanza didn't rhyme. I realize that's a poetry technique, but it grated on my ears as I was reading this. There weren't really any bumpy parts in the flow of the rhymes though where a line was just a little too long for the rhyme to work right.

The illustrations in this book were fabulous. They were fun showing at least one animal child with a teacher of their own, adding in items that humanized the animals a little. I really liked the bees and bunnies. I would probably be okay reading this book several times because the rhymes flowed so well and I agree with the message. Overall I give this book 4.1 out of 5 stars. - Katie
