I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.
This is a mostly rhyming story about a trip to the zoo. I say mostly because there were a couple lines that had no pair and couple lines with a word choice that didn't quite rhyme. But the flow was fairly smooth, so those few rhyming issues weren't too jarring.
I liked how the story itself named so many different animals, although from my experience visiting zoos, except for the reptiles, bugs, and amphibians, you don't typically find animals penned together or even near each other like this. Typically mammals aren't all in one section, but rather separated based on where they're found in the world, with the birds penned in a similar way. The discrepancy doesn't really affect the story, but it bugged me.
The pictures were colorful, but I was a little bothered by the anime eyes on the animals for some reason. They just seemed out of place to me. I would be okay reading this book a few times, but not too terribly many.
