Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme run by Reading Reality in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too, which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon, and any physical books I may have purchased throughout the week. After last week, I've decided to arrange this post a little bit differently than I have in the past. I'm going to group the books based on how I obtained them, and since I've been doing a lot of free book one-clicking, I'm only going to feature a few of those books each week.
On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads First Reads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.

Keeper of the Algorithm by H. Peter Alesso

Amazon Freebies
A Snowflake Christmas by Vickey Wollan - I just had to grab this one when it was free for my 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge.
The Hex Files: Wicked Moon Rising by Gina LaManna - I was able to get this entire series for free, and I find it so hard to pass up an entire free series.
Good Intentions by Brenda K. Davies - I just absolutely love the cover of this book. So glad I got it for free.
Woman of Blood & Bone by Annie Anderson - This book looked like a nice witchy read for spooky season.
Amazon Purchases
Snuffed Out by Valona Jones - I grabbed this one on sale for just $0.99 (no longer on sale).
The Hexologists by Josiah Bancroft - I got this book on sale for just $2.99 (no longer on sale).
House of Roots and Ruin by Erin A. Craig - I got this beauty for just $1.99 (no longer on sale).
Horrid by Katrina Leno - I got this creepy looking book on sale for just $1.99 (no longer on sale).
The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich - I'm pretty sure I listened to the audiobook version of this through Audiofile Sync's summer reading program, so when I found it on sale for just $2.99, I had to grab it (no longer on sale).
Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher - I got this book on sale for just $2.99 (no longer on sale) because I recently read another book by this author for a book club and really enjoyed it.
All Systems Red by Martha Wells - I got this book on sale for just $2.99, largely because it showed up on several different bloggers Top Ten Tuesday posts about hyped books recently. The hype got me.
The Hollow by Kiersten Modglin - I got this beauty on sale for just $1.49 (no longer on sale). I think it was mentioned as a possible read at one of my book clubs, but I don't know for sure.
The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir - I got this book on sale for just $2.99 (maybe still on sale) because I've recently become obsessed with Six the Musical, so I wanna know more about these women.
The Book Woman's Daughter by Kim Michele Richardson - I got this book on sale for just $2.99 (no longer on sale).
How to Make a Horror Movie and Survive by Craig DiLouie - I snagged this book on sale for just $2.99 (no longer on sale). It's caught my eye every time I've been at Barnes & Noble lately, so getting it for just $2.99 was a great deal for me.
All These Sunken Souls : A Black Horror Anthology by Various Authors - I grabbed this beauty on sale for just $1.99 (probably not still on sale).
In the Ballroom with the Candlestick by Diana Peterfreund - Got this beauty on sale for just $1.99 (probably not still on sale).
And while that is not all the new books I picked up on Amazon this week, it is all that I will be featuring as I had over 20 pages of digital orders to sift through just to find my Goodreads wins and sale purchases.
What new books have you added to your shelves recently? Any of these books you think I should read sooner rather than later?
If you're stopping by from the linkup, please be sure to drop a link to your post below so I can make sure I come pay you a visit to see your new pretties. - Katie

All Systems Red is a lot of fun! The whole series, really, though the last book didn't excite me as much. I know not everyone gets along with it, but I really fell for Murderbot's voice.
ReplyDeleteWow a good mix of books there. I've not seen giveaways on Goodreads 🤔 not that I need another way to get books 🤣
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!

Wow, that's an impressive haul of books! You've got a great mix of genres and authors.
ReplyDeleteI'm particularly interested in "Keeper of the Algorithm" and "The Witchfinder's Sacrifice." They sound like exciting and unique reads.
I love that you're taking advantage of free ebooks and sales. It's a great way to discover new books and save some money.
I'm also curious about your thoughts on "The Six Wives of Henry VIII." I watched The Tudors but of course, that's a mix of fiction and facts.
I loved Nettle and Bone and I'm definitely with you on Six the Musical. It's my favourite soundtrack to do housework to 😃
ReplyDeleteOh wow! What an incredible haul! Your TBR pile must be a tower. :D
ReplyDeleteAs a Canadian I rarely find any Goodreads giveaways that I’m eligible for - you do amazing however!
