This week’s theme is freebie, and while I'd normally use a freebie for a round of Netgalley Request Roulette, we have a winter reading list freebie topic coming up in like two weeks, and NRR is much more suited to that than just a general freebie, so I made myself think of an actual topic. Since it's December and I'm currently obsessed with all things Christmas, I am featuring Christmas books from my physical shelves with dogs on the cover. Let's go!
I know what you're thinking, there is no dog on this cover...but that's because it's a new cover and the reason why I now have two physical copies of this book, because I really liked the look of this one when I was grocery shopping a few weeks ago.
I have this one as a physical book and an ebook (apparently).
This book has a new cover now too, and while this one isn't a particularly well done Photoshop job, I'd still have been more inclined to pick this one up than one with the new cover.
This one also had a negative cover change...although in this case I think it's due to the author getting their rights back, because this cover is Kensington's. The new cover still has dogs on it though.
This is the only book on this list that I've read so far, and I can confidently say that it's one instance where the movie was better. I've learned that I should not read Debbie Macomber Christmas books.
And an honorable mention of the original cover for Christmas in Harmony Harbor, to prove I'm not a liar at the very least. LOL.
Are there any Christmas books with dogs on the cover that you can think of that I didn't feature? (There's a decent chance I have them as an ebook!) What topic did you choose for your freebie this week?
If you're stopping by from the linkup, please be sure to drop a link to your post below so I can pay you a visit to see your list too. - Katie

I enjoyed looking at the dogs on these covers 😆 great topic!
ReplyDeleteThere's something special about dogs on book covers. I just looked at my list for this week and counted at least four books with dogs on them.

Great idea! I had no idea there were so many Christmas books with dogs on the covers, but they look adorable. I especially love Christmas on Mistletoe Lane, it looks amazing :)

Those are all new to me, even though I have already read quite a few Christmas books.
ReplyDeleteThere is probably nothing happier than a Christmas romance book! Enjoy!
