*Stacking the Shelves* January 7, 2023

(Titles link to Amazon via Amazon Affiliate links)

Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme hosted by Reading Reality in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too (I'm just a little bit behind on this one at the moment), which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon.

On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads First Reads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.

Five Winters by Kitty Johnson
The Towers of Power by Charles W. Staunton
With Me All Along by Katy Bosso
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett - I snagged this as an audiobook during the 2 for 1 credit sale recently.
Sufficiently Advanced Magic by Andrew Rowe - This was my second audiobook selection for the 2 for 1 sale. This was a book that made it into my "first 12 book recommendations from friends" list, so now I can listen to it instead of read, which may or may not make it easier to finish.
My Name is Sasha. I Am Six. by Vladimir Gandelman
Once Upon a Highland Legend by Tanya Anne Crosby - This is a book I one-clicked while it was free. But how could I not with that cover!
Witch's Block by Amy Boyles - This is another book I one-clicked as a freebie. I was just so intrigued by the title that I couldn't resist.
The Witch of Tin Mountain by Paulette Kennedy - This is one of the two Prime First Reads books I selected for January. This one I didn't even second guess choosing.
The Direction of the Wind by Mansi Shah - This was my second Prime First Reads book this month. For this selection, I was wavering between this and two other books (also with purple covers, because it was the purple that drew me in for them).
Cracking the Stress Secret by Amir A. Rashidian D.C.
Stubbles the Baby Sea Otter by Leslie Van John - I one clicked this book as a freebie (it's still free now) because I downloaded it through Netgalley, and this will give me another verified review on Amazon.
Untouchable by S.J. West - This is another book that I one-clicked as a freebie. The cover really drew me in when I saw it. It is still free at the time of posting.
Hex Appeal by Kate Johnson - I one-clicked this book for 99 cents (still available at that price at the time of posting). The title and cover both drew me in on this one.

Those are all the new books I've gotten over the past week through Amazon. Of the Goodreads wins I'm most excited about The Humane Table and Five Winters. And I'm pretty excited about The Witch of Tin Mountain and might actually dive into that one once I finish reading the Netgalley books I have that are releasing Tuesday.

Do any of these books sound interesting to you? If you're stopping by from the linkup, please be sure to leave a link to your post below so I can check out your new pretties. - Katie
