Hanging out with her crush by the bonfire is the perfect end to the night. Except it isn't the end. An old truck starts aggressively tailing Brooke and her best friend on the isolated road toward home. Someone thinks they know the truth about "the incident," and they won't stop until it's all out in the open. This terrifying drive is about to bring out Brooke's worst fears…if she survives it.
Grace, Henry, and Ally grew up together on the same block. They used to be best friends--until Grace's testimony put Henry's brother, Jake, away for killing their English teacher. Now, two years later, Ally and Henry hate Grace, and Grace is doubting what she thinks she saw that night.
It feels like everyone's getting a second chance, then, when due to a mistrial, Jake is suddenly released. And Henry knows his brother is innocent, but when Grace reaches out to say she’s rethinking what she saw the night of the murder, Jake’s reaction is confusing. He doesn’t want Henry—or Grace--getting involved.
For Ally not getting involved isn’t an option, and there’s nothing Grace can say to convince Ally she’s not the enemy. But can Ally afford to push Grace out when she’s one of the only other people willing to believe in Jake’s innocence?
The clock is ticking. Jake’s new trial date is about to be set, and he's sure to be found guilty again unless there's new evidence to prove he's innocent. Grace, Henry, and Ally are going to have to decide whether you can trust an old friend now that they’re your enemy.

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my TTT!
Depending on if I get approved, some of them don't even release until 2025, so I may have to wait to read them. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteGood luck with your NetGalley roulette! I hope you end up with amazing books to read!
ReplyDeleteI usually end up with a few from this silly game. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI love this list! There's so many titles I haven't heard of before but will definitely be keeping my eye out for - especially Unhallowed Halls, the dark academia with demons tagline sold me immediately!
ReplyDeleteRiv @ Dear Rivarie
That's what made it a solid addition to my list too. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteUnhallowed Halls sounds good, I hope you get some of your choices.
ReplyDeleteI know! Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteThese all sound so good! I like that there's a mix of horror, thriller, and fantasy on this YA list. I hope you get approved for the ones you're most interested in!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm most interested in ALL of them! This was already narrowing it down from everything available on Netgalley. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI love spooky books! I hope you enjoy all these.
ReplyDeleteI do too, and this is the perfect season for them. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteSpooky sounding! Good work.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I lucked out that there were so many good spooky books available on Netgalley. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteYou're brave for doing that requesting game, I already struggle with mine as it is. Seems like you definetely went for spooky vibe! Most of those covers show that really well. Have fun reading them!
ReplyDeleteYou say brave, I say foolish. Tomato, to-mah-to. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteThese look like great spooky reads for October!! I hope you enjoy these all when you get to them. :) Have a lovely week!!

DeleteI hope you receive some good ones! ~Carol @ ReadingLadies
ReplyDeleteI've gotten approved for two of them so far at this point. Ready to dive in. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI haven't seen these around before, but some of them look like a lot of fun! (Well, I'm sure more of them look fun for readers of horror books. I'm a wimp, and don't read horror, so I only really paid attention to the fantasies. ;-) ) I hope you enjoy them, and thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier!
ReplyDeleteYeah. A lot of them don't even release until 2025, so I'm sure they're not getting a lot of talk yet. They were new to me too when I hopped on Netgalley, but they look SOOOO good. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI'll probably never read these, BUT the covers are cool. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAren't they though! Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteYour list looks good! I hope you enjoy every single one of these books!
ReplyDeleteI hope I do too. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI love the idea of NetGalley Roulette 😂 I'm much too chicken to do this because I don't want to get stuck with something I won't like to read.
ReplyDeleteI mean, I only request books that I think I'd like. The difference between this and me clicking "read now" on the books that are available to everyone is I actually get denied some of these. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteI haven't read any of these but you have quite an interesting list of books. Enjoy your fall reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks. - Katie
DeleteOh this is a great list, especially because now that I don't spend as much time on TTT I am *really* losing touch with what's happening in new YA, and I often enjoy thrillers more in this age group. So spoiled for choice I hardly know where to start...probably jotting all of these down as maybes, but that first one is really calling to me.
ReplyDeleteYes! I may be a 40 year old woman, but I LOVE YA Thrillers, I typically like them more than adult thrillers. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteThis is a great list! I had to add Unhallowed Halls and Lonely Places to my TBR, because they just looked so good. It looks like you'll be having some great fall reads lined up, and I love the idea of just playing NetGalley roulette. Maybe once I get through all my ARCs, I'll give NG roulette a try!
