*Platypire Read-A-Thon* January

It's a new year which means it's time for a new (updated) read-a-thon list. After seeing some of the other Platypires lists, I have decided that I LOVE the way Sofia organizes her list showing which month books are added. That being said, I'm way too lazy to go back through all my lists to do that with the books that I currently have listed, so those are just going to be called "Leftover from 2015." I'm also going to continue doing my list with my "currently reading", "read", and "to be read" sections separate, but I will denote books from 2015 with an asterisk, and will use parentheses to indicate what month a book was added to the list for anything from 2016. Trying to be a little more organized in the new year.

I'm only adding 8 new books to my reading list, and those are being added almost entirely because I either snagged them as "read now" books on Netgalley or I got them through Penguin's First to Read program. One of them is a ARC that I received directly from the author, and one is a book I got through a Goodreads First Reads giveaway. My main goal this month is really just knocking a bunch of books off of my currently reading list though, because once again I'm going to try to not start a new book when I have 6 books already started (which means I can't start a new book until I cut my currently reading list down significantly. I am making an exception for audiobooks however, because it would be absolutely silly to not allow myself to start a new one of those after I've finished the one I'm currently listening to when I go out walking). I'm hoping to make it past June before I break this year. - Katie

  1. You have a crap load of books to read. I can't plan that far ahead, I will get discouraged. Good luck!

    1. I don't pay much attention to my list when choosing what to read next...If I did, I'd get rather discouraged too. - Katie

    1. I'm hoping to start knocking a bunch of them off the list really quick...I'm also hoping to restrain myself more when adding new books to the list each month than I did last year. We shall see how that goes. - Katie
