Daniah is different, she always has been and now her dreams and visions of the future are increasing, she knows her life is changing. She just doesn't know by how much...

Jaiden is different, but he knows why and he knows his responsibilities. He must find the saviour of his race, the angel human half-breeds who are fighting a war for humanity's souls. If he can't convince Daniah she is more than just a little different - she is the princess of their people - they are all going to die.

Unfortunately Daniah doesn't have many reasons to trust Jadien, especially when he is caught in a web of his own lies.

In a world where half-breed angels walk among us, fighting an evil for our souls, Daniah must find the strength to become the princess we all need.

Chelsea O'Neal has a unique voice in storytelling, threading the characters lives together intricately to give us a complex web of good versus evil in a world descending into chaos..

4 stars

I really enjoyed reading it. Dani is such a sweet character. She loves her family, more than anything. She owns her salon and one day 2 very hot guys come in. She has strange feelings towards them. They both ask her out, and she agrees. From there, her life turns upside down, for the better. She's always known that she was adopted, but she now will find out the reasons why she was adopted. Her birth mother was murdered. She learns that she is a Zoku Toyek. Zoku are half angel, half human race. This is a book about good and evil. I can't wait for the next one.  ~Tonya

Anguish was the status quo, until she walked in.
Breaker James Collins is confined in a prison of his own making. Scarred doesn’t begin to define his hell since finding out his girlfriend had cheated, stolen, and lied two years ago. It led to a single event—one that would blacken his days and his nights from then on. Since then, he hasn’t left his house, crippled by fear of people and any social interaction.
Ashland talks too much and has the voice of a meth-laden prairie dog, or so she’s always been told. She’s been called annoying and irritating all of her life and gave up on having friends for a long time. College has given her a new lease on a social life and she’s embraced who she is. But now she’s waiting for the one guy who can take her breath away and put up with her antics.
A simple note pinned to a corkboard will lead Ash right to Breaker’s solitary world and she will learn that just because a guy doesn’t fit her ideal, doesn’t mean she won’t fall head over feet in love

I loved this story and the characters. Both Ashland (Ash) and Breaker are broken. Breaker more broken than she is. Ash was looking for a job, and through Breaker's mom, she gets hired. Can 1 broken person, help another put himself back together? I loved that even though Ash had her problems, she still was a strong main character and not the weak and whiney female lead. They both take a step back to "see the glory". ~Tonya

Just when Leona finally started to believe that maybe, just maybe, her future was written in the stars - that she was one of those girls destined for a happily ever after - her life takes a dramatic turn for the worse, and she finds herself standing face to face with the man who destroyed her childhood. Will this brutal encounter push her into a nightmare world again, or is the love that she shares with Nathaniel going to be strong enough to keep her from turning into the person she hates the most, and erase all those bad memories for once and for all?

Wow, this book, like the first has a little bit of everything. It has mystery, love, friendships, death. Some questions from the first book are answered, only to have more questions pop up. Why is all this happening and who is doing it all? I hate posting spoilers, that's why it's a vague review (sorry lol), if I went into detail though, it would give things away because of all the twists and turns in this story. Nathaniel is amazing in this book as well. I feel bad for Leona and everything that she has had to go through. I love these characters. It does end with another cliff hanger, but I love them. I will be patiently waiting for the third and final book.  ~Tonya

Review of "Underestimated" by Jettie Woodruff

Morgan has not had an easy life, growing up poor in an abusive home. Watching as her younger brother is taken and put into the system while she is left behind, too old to possibly find loving parents. Then on her 18th birthday she is whisked away to the lap of luxury to marry a man against her will, and her life actually gets worse. With a little help she manages to escape and start a new life with a new man that truly cares about her, but a tragic accident lands her back in her husbands clutches, with no memories of anything. Can she escape the abuse and find a happily ever after?

*Warning, this book has graphic sexual content, strong language, and disturbing scenes.

I feel like I am one sick cookie, because I loved this book. Don't get my wrong though, the situations that Morgan finds herself in are horrible, and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy, but this book was wonderfully written. I was transported directly into Morgan's shoes, to the point that the twisted events that were turning her on, were turning me on. The vivid descriptions where I think most people would gloss over the events really make this book wonderful.

I love books that hint at behind the scenes stuff for me to think, "Oh, I bet this is why that happened," about, and I love them even more when they prove me wrong. Underestimated proved me wrong more than once with realistic explanations, not some weird out of left field stuff like some books use. I'm even happy with the way the book ended.

Overall I give Underestimated five out of five stars for the brilliant writing and nerve to tackle the tough subjects. I look forward to reading more from Jettie Woodruff.

4 stars!!

I am reviewing this book for Just Another Girl and Her Books blog. I really liked this story. It has romance, sex, mystery, suspense. A little bit of everything basically. It kept me on my toes while reading it. Leona has dreams about her dream man, only to actually see him and then later meet him. Nathaniel is awesome, but he is keeping some secrets. Well, they both are really. The other characters are great, except for Marcus, who is a complete tool. I will definitely be reading the next one.  ~Tonya

My Review
I loved this story. Drama just seems to follow Sahara everywhere she goes. This is the 2nd book. It picks up right where the 1st one left off. She is on the run from her past, again, but also her present and possibly future this time. I don't know If I've ever heard someone apologize so much for the same thing, over and over and over again. Ty and Manny are still her loves, but will she choose 1 or leave them both for good? I would like to read a 3rd one, just to see how everything ends up being after her choices.  ~Tonya
