In Colorful Tales, lessons of love, acceptance, wonder, humility, joy, and courage are tenderly revealed through the adventures of life-loving Buz the Bear. No ordinary bear cub, Buz surprises and delights as he finds meaning in living everyday bear life. Through his stories, young readers find their own unique experiences given shape and purpose while celebrating their love of fun and adventure, the natural world, and the realness of the spirit.
I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.
This was a collection of short stories about Buz the Bear. Each story contained some lesson that Buz learned, and they were ultimately interconnected in the end. They kind of reminded me of Aesop's Fables the way they laid out the underlying lesson at the end of the story.
These stories felt a bit preachy to me, so I wouldn't be particularly inclined to read these too many times because the tone just wasn't it for me, but I think that people who are more religious would likely very much appreciate this collection of stories. I'm just not the target audience for more reasons than just that my children are no longer in the single digits.
Overall I give Colorful Tales 3.4826 out of 5 stars. - Katie
