I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review. 

This is a story about a couple of kids who visit a local carnival that has a money tree tent. They go in with several other children from their town and they learn the value of hard work. It came across as capitalist propaganda, but it rhymed so there's that. 

Because I had the merit of hard work instilled in me when I was younger, I would definitely be okay reading this book a few times, because there is still merit in working hard within reason. The illustrations were very colorful and fun, really showing what the kids in the story were learning. 

Overall I give Michael and Hannah and the Magic Money Tree 3.7854 out of 5 stars. - Katie
