April is here. Are you getting the April showers so you'll get to see May flowers? We aren't yet, but it snowed here not that long ago so we're still getting some moisture. Living in the high desert we don't get a ton of the moisture stuff to begin with though, which is why my backyard is all dirt. I'm still behind on reading and writing my children's book reviews. Again, I will be completing March's children's books before I think about creating my list for April because I want my Netgalley percentage as up to date as possible before grabbing more books and lowering it again. And some of my "Needs Reviewed" books are actually only there because the books don't release for far too long for me to post the reviews now, so I'm not as behind on reviews as it seems either (although still behind, I'm not going to lie). I feel like I didn't do as well with reading and reviewing adult books this past month, and that's probably largely due to the fact that I changed jobs at work and have less free time during my day with nothing to do but look busy and read. I also wasn't listening to audiobooks quite as much as I'd intended to, so if I get more consistent with those, my adult book review numbers will go up (although they may be less Netgalley reviews which will also be a problem).
Anyway, that's how I did this month. My TBR list here is looking mighty scary still, but several of these will be gone by the time I post my April list as they are children's books, but I've got others to add still so it's still going to look scary. I'll take any motivation you're willing to send my way to knock this darn list out. - Katie
