*Book Blogger Hop* 8 June 2018

We are on to a new week for the Book Blogger Hop hosted by the lovely folks over at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. This weeks questions is:
What author have you read the most in the past two years? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)
That's easy. Ginna Moran. I started proofreading for her around two years ago (I think, maybe a bit longer) and she has a new book for me almost every month. None of my other authors are quite that prolific (thank goodness or I wouldn't be able to keep up with them all), although some come close. Those honorable mentions include Alexandrea Weis, Jillian Ashe, and Mary Ting.

If we're talking authors that aren't paying me for a service connected with their books, my most read author is probably Christina Henry. I have managed to make it a point to read all of her kids classics retellings since Alice (which I think was released about two years ago), which brings my grand total of her books read in the past two years to three.

I'm just really not good at finding an author I like and reading all of their books in short order. Instead I jump around from author to author, reading a little here, a little there, buying more of their books when I find them on sale and then never finding the time to even read them (but I know I'm likely to never find the time to read them which is WHY I want to buy them on sale).

What about you? What author have you read the most in the past two years? - Katie

  1. I do a lot of bouncing around, too. There are usually a lot of debut authors on my radar, and then when those debut authors turn around and release a next book the next year... you see how it goes. If I had to pick one, it would probably be Jason Reynolds. He's probably one of the most prolific YA authors right now. But I wrote my post before I figured that out. Happy reading!

    1. I'm honestly kind of in awe of people that find an author they like and then read their entire back catalogue without reading someone else. That is not a skill I possess. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie

  2. Nice answer! I totally know what you mean. I try to keep my reading tastes diverse, so I jump around from genre to genre and author to author to keep it interesting. Therefore, I don't think I've purposely read one author more than any other, but I have read a lot of Michael Grant due to the length of his 'Gone' series.

A new book every month certainly is an achievement - but if you enjoy her work, then that's all that matters!

Feel free to check out my own answer if you wish!

    1. I have a love hate relationship with Ms. Moran at this point. She's often quite mean to her characters and I just want to kidnap them and give them the lives they deserve. LOL.

  3. I totally understand. I just found an author called R.S. Grey and I'm obsessed with her books. I'm trying to pace myself and not read them all back to back. It's not easy to resist. Great post <3

  4. Ah, I'm the opposite. I find an author I like, binge read the series that drew me in and then hunt out their other books and consume them too. :)
