*Stacking the Shelves* 2 June 2018

Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too, which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. And since I am currently technically a displaced person (all my things are packed up on a boat and I don't have a home to call my own at the moment), I'm not currently buying any physical books. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon. 

On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads First Reads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.

Matchmaking for Beginners by Maddie Dawson - I selected this as my May Kindle First selection (I think that's what the monthly free ebook for being a Prime member is called now), I'm just always super late finally deciding which one to get. 
Showmance by L.H. Cosway - I snagged this as a freebie (still free) after seeing an author sponsored post about it on Facebook. 
Promises Broken by KA Stalter - I snagged this short story as a freebie (still free). I don't know where I saw it shared exactly, but it was definitely on Facebook. 
The E.T. Guy by V.C. Lancaster - I snagged this as a freebie (no longer free). It's another one that I don't know where I saw it shared, but this one may have been the Celebrity Readers...or maybe not.

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden - I snagged this on sale for just $1.99 (still on sale). I mostly wanted this because Terri from Terriluvsbooks wrote a great review of it that made it sound phenomenal, so I couldn't pass it up while it was on sale.

Shade: A Reimagining of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein by Merrie Destefano - I snagged this as a freebie (no longer free) after seeing it shared on Facebook by Author Neeny Boucher (I'm 99% sure that's who shared this particular book.)

Dusk: A Reimagining of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein by Merrie Destefano - I snagged this for just 99 cents (still 99 cents) after seeing it shared by Neeny Boucher (assuming I'm right about her sharing Shade.)

A Wish After Midnight by Zetta Elliot - I snagged this on sale for 99 cents (still 99 cents). Reading the synopsis, it made me think a bit of The Devil's Arithmetic, with a girl going back in time to experience life as one of her ancestors during a tumultuous time. It just really piqued my interest. 

So that's all the new books I picked up this week. It was a fairly cheap week for me, although I did spend about $4, but that's not too bad considering all the new books I have to read.
