*Book Blogger Hop* 3 August 2018

We are on to a new week for the Book Blogger Hop hosted by the lovely folks over at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. This weeks questions is:
Have you ever had a bookish, nocturnal dream? If so, please share the story. If not, have you ever had a daydream related to books? If so, please tell us about it. (submitted by Maria @ A Night's Dream of Books)
It is not uncommon for the books I'm reading to infiltrate my dreams. It usually happens with books that I read from start to finish without reading anything else in between (I'm going to pretend that's why I read multiple books at once now that I think about it) because I get so sucked into the story that it remains in my subconscious when I go to sleep. Recently I proofread a book with a lot of military references, and after the third or fourth day of working on it, I spent the night doing military drills in my dreams, which was freakin' exhausting. The book itself wasn't about military drills, but since I have a connection to the military through my husband and there was a lot of military talk, that's how it infiltrated my dreams. And that's just one example, but it happens to me quite often.

How would you answer this question? - Katie

  1. I can see how all the military drills would be exhausting! Maybe the reason I don't dream about books is because I'm usually reading multiple books!

  2. How interesting that the books you read actually show up in your dreams! I don't usually remember my dreams. Recently, though, I did remember one: one of my classmates (I was either in middle school or high school in the dream) took one of my Harry Potter books! Lol

OM!! Military drills? It's SO weird, how the mind works, right? Your subconscious filed away the information about your husband's military talk, and look what it did with it! Very interesting!

Thanks for sharing, and for commenting on my BBH post!! Happy bookish dream!! <3 :)
