Review

I was hired to provide post publication proofreading for this book. Because Ms. Theriot has hired me in the past, she probably was expecting that a review would be written (because I know she's read previous reviews here), but it was not part of our agreement. I just like to review every book I read and reading is an integral part of proofreading. If you feel my connection with the book makes my review suspect, so be it, but this is my honest review.

Detective Grace Hutcherson has a gift that she's not always thankful for, with good reason in my opinion after reading this book. I wouldn't want ghosts stopping by unannounced to visit me at all hours of the day, even if it would make doing my job easier.

I am happy to report that I figured out the bad guy before the reveal on this one (it felt like a huge win for me) and I only barely wavered a little bit once I had my suspect picked out. (Okay, I'd decided it was for sure one of two people and I was leaning more towards one of them.)

While this book had a heavy paranormal influence, it still felt mostly like a murder mystery to me because it is one. The paranormal elements were there, but they never felt like the focus and definitely didn't detract from the mystery.

Overall I give Haunted Visions 5 out of 5 stars because it kept me intrigued and made me feel like a winner. - Katie
