Review

Review by: Kristi Droney

Some secrets are better left unknown or are they? This is the story of fifteen year old Tristan Morrow. She is the baby of her family and the only daughter to her parents. Tristan has been told her whole life that her mother is gone. Where is she? Did she abandon her family or is she dead? One night Tristan finds out the truth and that her mother is dead. At this point all hell breaks loose.  Will Tristan succumb to the same fate as her mother? What happened to her mother and who was responsible?

I will start off by saying this type of book is not what I normally read as of late. I typically read romance, erotica, etc. This book was a surprise for me and I absolutely loved it. I was grabbed from the beginning of this story wanting and needing to know more.  This story was filled with mystery, angst, and the unknown. I was pulled in by the characters and story line and kept hooked until the very end. I was not sure how I would feel reading a book where the main character was a teenage girl, but Tristan is a great character who is strong and you can’t help fall in love with her and root for her throughout the story. I love a strong female character and Addison did not disappoint with her creation of Tristan.
I have read a few of Addison’s books and I think this one has been my favorite thus far. It brought me back to the mystery books that caused me to fall in love with reading when I was younger. If you’re looking for a fantastic mystery that grips you early on, the look no further.  This is one you will want to read for sure!!

I gave this book five stars.
