                                                                                  Synopsis
You met Audrey Decker through Nate and Libby’s story in For Nicky, A Torey Hope Novel Book 1. This is Audrey’s story. It is highly suggested that you read For Nicky before reading Because of Beckett so that you can be emotionally vested in Audrey’s story.

Audrey Decker is a mean girl, a bitch, a bully. She has no plans to stop treating people badly and she’s definitely not going to stop using sex as power. But when she ends up in therapy against her wishes, an ugly and painful repressed past is uncovered and Audrey’s world is tipped on its axis. Everything she thought she knew, everything she thought she was, is all changing.

Jeremiah Jordan returns from serving two years overseas with a detached and hardened heart. When his world is rocked with unexpected news and difficult challenges, Jeremiah faces them head on. He’s comfortable with where he is right now; he has his parents close by and his son is his world. He definitely doesn’t have time for the hassle that has always accompanied dating in the past. He doesn’t have it in him to put effort into forming relationships that may just hurt him or his son again.

A chance encounter, second chances, and a little boy who believes in learning from mistakes is all it takes to bring Audrey and Jeremiah together. However, deserving a second chance and taking that second chance are two very different things. Learning from mistakes and letting go of the past may be easier said than done. Can Audrey and Jeremiah push through the pasts that are haunting both of them or will their romance wither and die under the weight of it all?

Because of Beckett is a story of love, forgiveness, and second chances.

**Because of Beckett is recommended only for ages 18+ due to harsh language, adult situations, and mature themes. Certain pivotal points of Audrey’s history may trigger unpleasant memories for some readers.**(
                                                                                   Review
Because of Beckett is the second book in the series "A Torey Hope Novel # 1 - For Nicky) I would highly suggest that you read the first book in the series before this book., because even though "Because of Beckett" isn't a continuation of "For Nicky" you get to meet Audrey and find out about her before you read her story.
For Nicky was a very emotional book for me, so I wasn't sure how E D Ellis was going to pull off the same kind of connection she did with the characters in the first book, because we already know Audrey is a bitch with a capital "B" I was very weary going in to the story knowing I already disliked the character so much.
Audrey Decker is a mean girl, a bitch and a bully in book 1. She uses sex to control people and she never cares who she hurts or who she disrespects. In this book Audrey is in therapy. Thank goodness because she needed some serious help. Luckily you can see her progress from her therapy and by the end if the book your see Audrey has completely changed, your understand her story more and will actually fall in love with her.
This is a book I don't want to leave spoilers on because you need to see and experience everything on Audrey's journey for yourself to make it more meaningful. She goes through such a Huge change and it's written so beautifully, you end to go in blind.
What i will say is the story isn't smooth sailing. There's a lot of ups and downs, twists and turns ahead of the characters before they get to their happy ever after.
This book is another emotional roller coaster, like the first book. I wasn't sure at the start that I'd need my tissues during this story, bug I was completely wrong.
The author is a amazing writer who can tackle very hard issues very well. When reading about rape, drugs, disabilities and low self esteem it can be very uncomfortable and hard to read and I'm guessing write about. She wrote about these things perfectly.
This book takes you on a another amazing journey.
The author is very talented and it's very refreshing to read a book with disabilities in.
I can't wait to read more from the author in the future.
If you've not read this series yet then one click it now. You won't be disappointed, just remember to gave the tissues near by.
