Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too, which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. And since I am currently technically a displaced person (all my things are packed up on a boat and I don't have a home to call my own at the moment), I'm not currently buying any physical books. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon.
On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.
Satsang with the Abbot by Abbot George Burke
Mrs. Pratt's War by Sarah Richmond
Lost With Nothing to Lose by Vincent Berg
The Sunwright Chronicles by Kevin Villegas
The Dynasty of the Phoenix by B.A. Ellison
Melt For You by J.T. Geissinger
What Lies Below by Barbara Taylor Sissel
American Girl Dreams of Saturn by Nikki Godwin - I snagged this as a freebie (no longer free) after seeing it shared by the author on Facebook.
Before You Go by Nikki Godwin - I snagged this as a freebie (no longer free) when I saw it shared by the author on Facebook.
After Care by L.B. Dunbar - I snagged this on sale for just 99 cents (still on sale). This book is advertised as romance for women over 40, or something like that. I do know the male MC is a silver fox, so if you're looking for a more mature romance, this would be a great book for you.
Worth the Risk by Heather B. Moore
Beside Turning Water by Dory Codington
The Staircase of Fire by Ben Woodard
A Big Ship at the Edge of the Universe by Alex White
The Curse of the Skyfolk by Jamie Rowe
Luney Tales by Bill Bowyer
The Romeo Catchers by Alys Arden - I snagged this on sale for just $1.99 (still on sale). I've had my eye on this series for a while because the covers are absolutely gorgeous, and I finally caved and bought them.
The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden - This is the first book in the series mentioned above and I got it on sale for just $1.99 as well (still on sale).
Awesome Love Series Set by Sheila Holmes
Unmaking Hunter Kennedy by Anne Eliot - I snagged this as a freebie (still free) after seeing it shared on Facebook. I believe it was the lovely ladies at Celebrity Readers that shared it, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
The House of Baric Part One: Shields Down by Jillian Bald
Adrift by Rob Boffard - This is a Goodreads win, but I wanted to comment since I noticed that it's not actually published yet. That's one of the positive changes where ebook giveaways on Goodreads are concerned, you can have them end before release date and anyone who wins the book can post a verified (I think) review before release day (I have the option to post a review right now, but I just won this book yesterday so I do not have it read yet).
Agent Undisclothed: Volume 1 by Dan Budge and D'Jesse Larsen
The Kind of Parent You Are by Brian Vondruska
The Things We Don't Say by Roberta R. Carr
The Singular Mr. Sinclair by Mia Marlowe
The Secret and the Butterfly by Rosemary Ness Bitner
The Curator of Provenance by John Ratti
High Treason by Peter Vielhaber
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert - I snagged this on sale today for just $2.99 (still on sale for all of Saturday). I've had my eye on this book after seeing it all over the blogosphere somewhat recently. I just love the cover which made me absolutely want to read it, so when I caught it on sale today, I had to buy it.
And that is all the new books that I added to my shelves over the past 8 days. Normally my post goes from the previous Saturday through Friday, but I really wanted to get The Hazel Wood added to the list this week since it's on sale today, so I added an extra day. I just need to remember that next week when I go to build my post for this.
And because someone commented last week on how long it took me to build my STS post, I decided to time myself today...This post took 18 minutes to put together, in case you were wondering.

Wonderful haul this week, I haven't read any of the books you have listed. I would be interested to read After Care, almost all the mc romance are young men, I'm curious about it. I hope you enjoy all your new reads.
ReplyDeleteOnly 18 minutes that's great. Have a wonderful day.
Yeah. I've really got the building of these posts down to a science or something. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteMy posts tend to take awhile, I think it's because I get sidetracked when I open other links :)
DeleteI've gotten pretty good at just post building when I actually sit down to do it. Now I just need to get better at carving out a specific time to sit down and post build on a regular basis because I'm so far behind on review writing right now it's not even funny. - Katie
DeleteNice that you got Adrift! I'm looking forward to that one.
ReplyDeleteI'm digging the cover, so I'm looking forward to finding the time to read it myself. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteUnmaking Hunter Kennedy was me!! Ding ding! Hazel Wood looks pretty and intriguing...
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice when my memory serves me correctly. - Katie
DeleteI couldn't pass up The Haze Wood when I saw it on sale too. I was planning on getting it from the library but when I saw it so cheap, I couldn't pass it up. Looks like another great haul!
ReplyDeleteRight! Like for that price, you really just have to get it. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
