Then, catastrophe strikes and Kendall’s life is once again altered. Can she and Johnnie have a future together or has their love been doomed from the beginning?
Review
Misdeeds is the continuation of the storyline started in Misunderstood. We continue to follow Johnnie Donovan and Kendall Miller as they try to figure out what exactly is going on between them and how to keep Kendall safe from her psycho ex Spoon.
I really enjoyed this book. Misunderstood did a great job of setting the stage for the action and drama in Misdeeds. It seemed like every time Kendall and Johnnie took a step forward towards resolving their issues, they'd take two steps back. That was a little annoying since just talking to each other would have solved so many of their problems, but with Kendall's past, it's understandable why she was reluctant to open up and trust Johnnie.
This book was absolutely action packed, and full of drama. Kendall and Meggie, the MC's first lady, do not get along at all, and you can't help but feel that Kendall is getting the raw end of the deal. I was frequently upset when any of the MC members told Kendall that she needed to make more of an effort to get on Meggie's good side. In fact, pretty much any emotion Kendall was feeling, I was too. Jealous, nervous, insecure, scared, my emotions really ran the gamut in this book.
The flow of this story was quite smooth, and while I had some personal hiccups with the speech of the MC members, that tone wasn't as strong in the narration (which was a huge difference for me from Misunderstood). That made this book a fairly quick read considering it's length and I found myself not wanting to put it down (also different than my experience with Misunderstood).
Overall I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it was well written, it put me right into Kendall's shoes, and kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. I would definitely recommend it to any MC romance fan out there. - Katie
