*Stacking the Shelves* 2 December 2017

(Titles link to Amazon via Amazon Affiliate links)

Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

It's been five weeks since I visited my thrift store. I'm pretty sure it doesn't even remember what I look like anymore. Not that it matters, since I'm never going to be shopping there again. Although I will stop by from time to time over the next few weeks to drop off donations of things that we have no interest in taking with us when we move. But there were still a few good deals on Amazon for CyberMonday and stuff, so this list of ebooks and audiobooks will probably be somewhat extensive.

On that note, here are the books I picked up this week.

Obsidian Dragon by Cara Wylde - I got this as a freebie (no longer free). It's a shifter romance, so I may not read it particularly soon, but it's there if I'm ever in the mood for that.
This Christmas by Jeannie Moon - I grabbed this freebie (still free) to possibly read for my 12 Books of Christmas challenge. I know I already had books picked out, and I've already listed the ones I plan to read this month on my Platypire Read-A-Thon post, but I like to have options anyway.
A Cotswald Christmas by Kate Hewitt - I got this on sale for 99 cents (no longer on sale), again, to possibly read for my 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge.
The Claiming by Ike Hamill - I got this as a freebie (no longer free). I'm not sure exactly where it was shared, but I find the synopsis very intriguing.
The Grid 1: Fall of Justice by Paul Teague - I got this as a free (no longer free). I think it's a dystopian which is absolutely in my wheelhouse of desired genres, so I needed to grab it.
How to Talk to Ghosts by Erin Hayes - I had to grab this freebie (no longer free) because the cover is just gorgeous. It's the fifth book in a series though, so hopefully it's not necessary to read the other books first.
Winter's Beast by Twyla Turner - I snagged this freebie (no longer free) because I'm a big fan of Beauty and the Beast retellings, and that's what this is.
Magemother: The Complete Series by Austin J. Bailey - I got this book on sale for $1.99 (no longer on sale). The cover on the box set looks intriguing and that was just a great price for a whole series (as long as it's a decent series.)
Central Station by Lavie Tidhar - I have been seeing this book all over the blogosphere, so when I saw it on sale for $1.99 (no longer on sale) I just had to grab it.
The Dire King by William Ritter - I read a sneak peek of this book a while back, and found it somewhat intriguing, so when I saw the book on sale for $1.99 (no longer on sale) I grabbed it.
Dalton's Undoing by RaeAnne Thayne - I recently finished reading one of Ms. Thayne's Cold Creek holiday novels and really enjoyed it, so when I saw this book on sale for 99 cents (no longer on sale) I just had to buy it.
Heartless by Marissa Meyer - I have yet to read anything by Marissa Meyer, but I've bought most of her books at this point because I hear they're really good, and while this one was on sale for $2.99 (no longer on sale) I just had to get it.
Winterfrost by Michelle Houts - Audible had some amazing sales going on over the holiday weekend. I was able to get this audiobook for just $3.95.
Gunmetal Gray by Mark Greaney - I just recently finished listening to another audiobook from this series, and while I have no interest in physically reading these books, I would gladly listen to them in audio. And I managed to get this audiobook for just $4.95.
Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt - I read a sneak peek of this book a while back, and then managed to snag the audiobook for just $3.95.
Beyond the Kingdoms by Chris Colfer - For those of you that don't know, Chris Colfer plays Kurt on Glee and he was pretty much my favorite character up until they introduced Blaine, but then I was totally shipping their relationship. Anyway, his Land of Stories series has had me intrigued for a while, so when I saw that I could get several of them in audio with him as the narrator for just $3.95 each, I just had to do it.
An Author's Odyssey by Chris Colfer - See above.
A Grimm Warning by Chris Colfer - See above.
The Enchantress Returns by Chris Colfer - See above.
You Can't Hide by Dan Poblocki - I listened to the first book in this series for free over the summer through Audiofile Sync's summer reading program for teens and really enjoyed it, so when I saw this audiobook on sale for $3.95, I took advantage of it.
One Last Snowy Christmas by A.F. Crowell - I got this book for 99 cents (still 99 cents) because that's not a whole lot of money and it gives me one more option for my 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge this year.
Time to Lie by Phil Taylor - I got this book as a freebie (no longer free). I'm not sure where I saw it shared, but it called out to me at the time.
The Truth Spell by Anita Oh - I got this freebie (still free) because I just love the cover.
The 12 Lays of Christmas: Part 2 by Veronica Vixen - I preordered this book, it goes live on the 5th, because I'm looking for some shorter Christmas reads in case I find myself in a pinch trying to finish the 12 Books of Christmas Challenge. Why I didn't get Part 1 first, I do not know.
Citizens of Logan Pond: The Complete Dystopian Trilogy by Rebecca Belliston - I managed to snag this trilogy as a freebie (no longer free). I'm a huge fan of dystopian novels, so grabbing it while it was free was a no-brainer for me.
Chasing Christmas Eve by Jill Shalvis - I got this book on sale for $1.99 (still on sale), because like I've mentioned a few times already in this post, I want to have options for my 12 Days of Christmas challenge.
You Can't Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of my Fantastic First Year as President Donald J. Trump (A So-Called Parody) by Alec Baldwin - I had been saving up one of my Audible credits to get this book when it came out. I actually missed the release date by a few weeks because I forgot about it, but I have the audiobook now.
Finding Love at the Oregon Coast by Assorted Authors - I snagged this novella collection as a freebie (no longer free). I'm not even sure where I saw it shared, but I grabbed it.
The Maze by Tammie Painter - I got this book on sale for 99 cents (no longer on sale) because I enjoyed the first book in the series, and I was enjoying the 2nd book before I got distracted by other books. It's a series I definitely plan on finishing at some point for sure though.
Coming Home by Geri Glen - I snagged this freebie (still free) because it will be another good shorter holiday read in case I find myself strapped for time near the end of the 12 Books of Christmas Challenge.
Christmas in Eternity Springs by Emily March - I snagged this book on sale for $2.99 (no longer on sale) because honestly, I just go a little bit nuts about Christmas books during the holiday season...also, variety for the 12 Books of Christmas Challenge. I think it's safe to say that I'll be set to complete the challenge next year as well.

So there you have it. Those are all the ebooks and audiobooks I bought last week. I have a very hard time resisting freebies and sales, and this is why I have over 20K books in my personal Amazon library. But it's good to have options, right?

So what books did you add to your shelves last week? - Katie
