Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too, which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. And since I am currently technically a displaced person (all my things are packed up on a boat and I don't have a home to call my own at the moment), I'm not currently buying any physical books. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon.
On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.
Awakening by Melanie Nilles
Philosophy for Heroes: Part 1: Knowledge by Clemens Lode
My Brother Came Home with a Cone on His Head by Paul Warnke
Drone War by Erik Sax
Civil Terror: Gridlock by J. Luke Bennecke
Moments in Transition by Neerja Raman
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis - I snagged this on sale for just $1.99 along with the rest of the Narnia series (no longer on sale), which I will be listing after this. I will not be commenting on all of them, just know they were all on sale for $1.99 when I bought them.
The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis
Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia by C.S. Lewis
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis
The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis
The Horse and His Boy by C.S Lewis - I bought the Chronicles of Narnia books while they were on sale in the hopes that my son will find them interesting because I was not sure if I had them in physical form.
The Merry Tongue by Noella Menon and Milly Pereiera
Same Stories Different Storytellers: Myth Patterns Across Civilizations by Natasha Cover
Dis' Taste by Caven Tootell
The Branding of Wendell Dawes by Nao Hauser
Elementals by K.D. Sheridan
Legend of the Stone by L.R. Ballard
Principia 2.0 by Thomas Preusser
Parvathy's Well and Other Stories by Poornima Manco
The Falcon Flies Alone by Gabrielle Mathieu
Miguel Traveler #1: The Man From Texas by Daniel McFatter
Evidence of Practice by Adam Geller
Many Ways to See the Sun by Brooke Dierkhising
Hush Girl: It's Only a Dream by Gloria Zachgo
Waking Virginia by Dorothea Hunt
Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi
How Daddy Got His Groove Back, With a Lot of Help From Me, Matchmaker Extraordinaire!!! by Nathan Waqa
Lumiere by Jacqueline E. Garlick - I snagged this baby on sale for just 99 cents (still on sale, or maybe that's just the normal price now, I'm not sure). In my mind, it's some sort of Beauty and the Beast retelling (based on the title), but I could be completely wrong about that.
Payton Hidden Away by Jonathan Korbecki
Chaos at Crestview: Seven Funny Stories from the Fifth Grade by Michael Pacyga
Ice Cream Kitty by Nerina DiBenedetto
Countdown to Z-Day by Kevin Kearney
Friendship is Not a Size by Peter Alex - I snagged this book for free (no longer free) after receiving an unsolicited email from the author about it being free (I have an email address listed on Amazon.)
NeuroTribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity by Steve Silberman - I snagged this audiobook as an Audible Daily Deal for just $5.95. I think it sounds really intriguing, although I worry I may not retain much of the information listening to it a single time (so I may have to listen to it multiple times to get it to stick, but that's an option.)
Lady Justice and the Magic Dragon by Robert Thornhill - I snagged this book for free (no longer free) after being invited to an event on Goodreads announcing that it was free.
The Lost City of the Monkey God by Douglas Preston - I snagged this book on sale for just $3.99 (no longer on sale). I'm really not sure what it is about the book that appealed to me, maybe it's the fact that I recently watched Congo with my husband and the blurb sort of made me think of the movie.
Rise of the Drumpfkins: The Fall of Unsinn by Kim E. Lawler
Daughter of the Zel by Phoebe Ritter
My Way to Canossa by David Brendan O'Meara
Infinite by Jeremy Robinson - I snagged this audiobook as an Audible Daily Deal for just $3.95.
Judas: Hero Misunderstood by Jason E. Royle
My Darling Wing-Mate by Michelle Pannetier-Alabert
Justine by Cathy Lynn Brooks
Birds of Wonder by Cynthia Robinson
Alligators Overhead by C. Lee McKenzie
Des Kilfeather A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by Des Kilfeather
The Sting of the Bee by K.E. Lanning
Igazi by Wayne Marinovich
Sycamore Whispers by Shane Ledyard
Night Moves: The Science of Making Him Fall In Love With You by Gregg Michaelsen
King by T.M. Frazier - I snagged this book for free (still free) after seeing it posted as free in the Book Bonanza group that I'm part of on Facebook.
So that's all the books I've added to my e-reader this past week. What new books have you gotten? - Katie

Nice find on the Narnia books! Also, you made me snort laugh about Lumiere. Looking at the cover, I'm going to guess steampunk?
ReplyDeleteYeah...I read the blurb after posting this and it's definitely not B&tB inspired...but it still sounds amazing so I'm glad I got it on sale anyway. - Katie
DeleteI now have more books to add to my list! Thanks for making this easy.
ReplyDeleteYou're quite welcome. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteThese should keep you busy and happy for awhile. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I should definitely have plenty of reading material for a while...of course that was already the case. LOL. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie

Yeah, I kind of always have massive book hauls. It's a bit of an addiction. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteWow, you win a ton on Goodreads. Congratulations! Enjoy all your new books!
ReplyDeleteMary my #SundayRoundup #13!
Yeah. At the rate I'm going, I'm going to win an average of four books per day for the year, which is a drastic change from previous years. The difference now is that anyone can sponsor ebook giveaways, and a lot of authors are currently taking advantage of that, even though the number of giveaways ending each day has been cut roughly in half.
DeleteThanks for stopping by. - Katie
Oh my goodness! I can't believe you won all those books on Goodreads. I think I've won a total of two books and that was many many years ago. Wow. I hope you enjoy all your new books.

I enter almost every single giveaway that is on Goodreads because it's a numbers game (and I have very diverse interest in books to begin with). If you like to win ebooks, the odds of winning those are much greater than the average physical book giveaway now and you might find yourself winning more often. Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
DeleteThanks for the tip. I will have to keep my eye out for more ebook giveaway. :)
