Nava: A Tale of Courage, Love, and Redemption

Amid the turmoil of ancient Bethlehem, a young woman’s courage becomes her greatest weapon.

When tragedy shatters her life, Nava must summon an inner strength she never knew she had. Bound by love and duty, she ventures through treacherous lands, facing danger, heartbreak, and the haunting memory of her lost love. Along the way, her journey intertwines with prophecy, mystery, and a fateful star that could change the course of history forever.

From the bustling streets of Judea to the quiet hills surrounding Bethlehem, Nava’s story unfolds as a testament to resilience, faith, and the enduring power of hope. Encounter kings and shepherds, friends and foes, as Nava discovers her place in a world on the brink of a miraculous revelation.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This was an interesting take on the traditional Christmas story where the main character would really feature as an unnamed extra in the original tale. And it was pretty obvious that this was a birth of Jesus reimagining from the get go.

I never felt very invested in the story itself. I didn't find Nava particularly relatable, but I'm a godless heathen these days. Really this book just felt a bit like a puff piece, with not a whole lot really going on.

The narration was pleasant enough. I don't have any serious complaints, but nothing really stood out as exceptional either.

Overall I give Nava 3.8721 out of 5 stars. - Katie
