*Review* Only Ever You by Lisa Suzanne

Genre: Erotic Romance
Published: September 28, 2017
Pages: 254

Torn between two brothers, Reese Brady must choose whether to live out her fantasies or opt for stability. She bears the load of her guilt to the point of exhaustion, excusing unsavory behavior as a form of self-punishment. Despite the temptation of one man, she commits to the other.

When a family crisis strikes, Reese is forced into the arms of the wrong man. How will she comfort him when she longs to be with his brother?

Only Ever You is the second book in the three-book A Little Like Destiny series by bestselling contemporary romance author Lisa Suzanne.

This forbidden romance series featuring a rock star and his business mogul brother must be read in order:
A Little Like Destiny
Only Ever You
Book 3 - Coming October 26, 2017

I was hired to proofread this book. The only aspects of the story that I influenced were the spelling and grammar. If you feel that my connection to the book makes my review untrustworthy, so be it, but this is my honest review.

Only Ever You picks up exactly where A Little Like Destiny leaves off (and if you haven't read ALLD yet, you'll be in better shape than I was when you pick it up because you won't have the wait I did to find out what happened there). As the synopsis states, you do absolutely need to read these books in order. If you don't, you will be missing out on some major vital backstory, and you're going to want that information, I promise.

I made the rookie mistake of thinking that this book was going to give me what I wanted...and I mean, it kind of did for a while, stringing me along before making me seriously doubt my choices, again. I'm about to the point where I feel like Reese should say good riddance to the brothers altogether and find someone NOT related to them. I'm pretty sure this book had more outrageous drama than an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians. But the drama never felt unrealistic.

So Brian's behavior in this book was sending up some major red flags in my head. Nothing that I can exactly put my finger on what the issue was for me, but if my best friend was dating him and I knew about all the things I got to see from Reese's POV, I'd be telling her to get rid of the guy ASAP. But I also realize that there might be things going on behind the scenes with him that even Reese doesn't know that would at least sort of justify the behavior, or at least explain it in a way that it didn't make me want to throat punch him. It's not incredibly likely, but it is possible.

Then there was swoon-worthy Mark. Aside from the whole trying to steal his brother's girlfriend thing, he was doing everything right. In my opinion, he's the obvious right choice, the man I'd want my best friend dating, and not just because he's a famous rockstar. But I'm starting to wonder if it's not all just part of an elaborate game to him.

And then the ending. It made me scream, and then start dreaming up alternate scenarios that would make the whole situation a lot less complicated for certain characters. Basically, I need book three right now. And if you're not a fan of cliffhangers, you're probably going to want to wait about a month to start reading this series yourself. Just saying.

Overall I give Only Ever You 4.735 stars. - Katie
