*Stacking the Shelves* 25 February 2023

(Titles link to Amazon via Amazon Affiliate links)

Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Reading Reality in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too, which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon.

On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads First Reads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.

Afterlife: Cool Assassins 3 by J.O. Quantaman
Collabor(h)ate by Deb Mashek
The Panacea Project by Catherine Devore Johnson
Max Thrust by James Walker
The Secret Files: Bill De Blasio, The NYPD, and the Broken Promises of Police Reform by Michael Hayes
Sidestepped: What the Enemy Doesn't Want you to Know that Can Change Your Life by Matt Dalbey
Stories and Heart by Sharon Price John
Almost a Martian by Brett Perkins
Knock on the Soul by Kuldeep Sharma
Formula for Devotion by Amelia Simone
Paradise-1 by David Wellington

I didn't one-click a single book this past week, which is kind of impressive. That means all of these were ebook wins from Goodreads. Any of them sound interesting to you? What books have you added to your shelves this past week? If you're stopping by from the linkup, please be sure to drop a link to your post below so I can stop by and see your pretties. - Katie

  1. You must be the luckiest person alive! Do you play the lottery? You should! That's an extraordinary amount of GR wins.....can't say I've ever seen someone win so many, so consistently. I gave up entering since I never won anything, but maybe I should resume - maybe some of your luck will rub off on me. :) Have a terrific week and find time to put your feet up with a good book.

    1. My secret is that I'm luckier than the average person (I'd really clean up at cake walks at our school carnival when I was a kid, leaving with at least a half dozen baked treats). If my parents were buying raffle tickets they'd always have me do it because we'd always win something. I like to think it's a sign that I'm a good person since Karma smiles on me so frequently.

  2. Nice wins from GR. They changed the rules there so that authors have to pay to give away their books so that's a bummer from a writer's standpoint. But great for readers, enjoy!

    1. Yeah, I know they changed the rules. I wrote a blog post about it when it came out. I don't think them charging for giveaways is necessarily good for readers though, because it's greatly reduced the number of giveaways posted. The small indie authors just can't afford to pay to host a giveaway and give out copies of their books for the most part. So I think it's a bummer all around.
