*Stacking the Shelves* 20 October 2018

(Titles link to Amazon via Amazon Affiliate links)

Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too, which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon.

On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads First Reads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.

The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory - I snagged this book on sale for just $1.99 (maybe still on sale). I'd guaranteed a copy of it through Penguin's First to Read program, but my loan expired before I got a chance to finish it, so I was excited to catch it on sale.
Rosario by J. Kenyarta
Consistency Selling: Powerful Sales Results. Every Lead. Every Time. by Weldon Long
Etty Steele Vampire Hunter by Grayson Grave - I snagged this book for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared on Facebook by the author.
Saint Patrick: A Life From Beginning to End by Hourly History - I snagged this book for free (no longer free) after seeing it shared by another blogger last week.
Wars of the Roses: A History From Beginning to End by Hourly History - I snagged this book for free (no longer free) after seeing it shared last week by another blogger.
Avalanche by Cambria Hebert - I snagged this book for free (no longer free) after seeing it shared on Facebook.
Farewell: Vital End-of-Life Questions with Candid Answers from a Leading Palliative and Hospice Physician by Edward T. Creagan
Unleashed by Caitlin Crews
The Path of Man by Matt Moss
Underneath - A Merfolk Tale by M.N. Arzu
Messy Bun Princess by Anitha Rathod
The Little Monster Under the Bed by Lisbeth Antoinette
Headless by N.J. Zeiter - I snagged this book for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared somewhere, I believe it was on Facebook.
Soldier On by J.D. Wynne
And the Japanese Cleaned the Stadium: A Book about Japan by Matthew Rowe
No Ordinary Duke by Sophie Barnes
Curveball by Jordan Ford - I snagged this book for free (maybe still free). I have no clue where I saw it shared.
Bittersweet Vengeance by Tia Silverthorne Bach - I snagged this book for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared on Facebook.
Babygirl: Prequel to the Search for Catherine by Lorna Jackie Wilson
The Actions: 7 Steps to Awaken a New Mindset to Achieve New Results by Margaret Tran Tran
Charter Storm: Waves of Change Sweeping Over Public Education by Mary Searcy Bixby
Italian Folktales by Italo Calvino - I snagged this on sale for just $1.99 (no longer on sale). I'm not familiar with Italian folktales, so I thought this could be interesting to read.
House of Nutter: The Rebel Tailor of Savile Row by Lance Richardson - I used Great on Kindle credit to buy this book because I'd guaranteed it on First to Read by ran out of time to read it before my loan expired.
The Girl Who Smiled Beads: A Story of War and What Comes After by Clementine Wamariya and Elizabeth Weil - I used Great on Kindle credit to buy this book because I'd guaranteed it on First to Read but ran out of time to get it read.
Call Me American by Abdi Nor Iftin - I used Great on Kindle credit to buy this book because I'd guaranteed it on First to Read but ran out of time to get it read.
Give People Money: How a Universal Basic Income Would End Poverty, Revolutionize Work, and Remake the World by Annie Lowrey - I used Great on Kindle credit to buy this book because I'd guaranteed it on First to Read but ran out of time to get it read.
Switching Hour by Robyn Peterman - I snagged this for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared on Facebook by the author.
For Whom the Bell Trolls by D.H. Aire - I snagged this book for free (maybe still free) after seeing it shared somewhere on Facebook.

So that's all the new books I picked up this past week. What new books have you added to your shelves recently? - Katie

  1. Curveball was me!! It's a Lenore book...

I considered The Wedding Date, but after my disappointment with The Proposal, I figured I have enough other books...

I already have Avalanche, but I haven't read it yet!

    1. That's the worst! This is why unless the book is already a bargain book or I'm buying it at a thrift store, my usual thought about buying it is "I can get it cheaper on Amazon."

Thanks for stopping by. - Katie
