*Book Blogger Hop* 21 September 2018

We are on to a new week for the Book Blogger Hop hosted by the lovely folks over at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. This weeks questions is:
Do you like to finish one book before starting the next or do you read several at once? (submitted by Cathy @ What Cathy Read Next)
I always read several books at once. I've got over 30 books on my currently reading shelf on Goodreads in fact. Not that I'm reading all 30+ books back to back, but I can certainly choose to pick any one of them up at any given time and read a bit before moving onto something else if it's not really piquing my interest. (And in reality I should probably go in and try to cull that list some, just pick a book and read it to the end, then do that to the next and so on to get the list down to about 15, but I'm just not sure if I have the time for that.)

Are you a monogamous reader or do you prefer polyamory when reading? - Katie

  1. I think I am a monogamous reader. That can definitely change but growing up I never read as many books as I do now tbh. In fact I only started reading books as a hobby when someone suggested it.

    1. There's certainly nothing wrong with being a monogamous reader...it just doesn't work for me. :)

  2. I have a huge TBR and probably should do another culling. I do one ever so often, letting go of books that no longer interest me. I wish I was better at waiting to get books when I am ready to read them. I have no willpower when it comes to books. I've never had as many as 30 going at once though. I think five is the most I've juggled at once. Normally I stick to one, two or three. Although right now I have four going. I hope you have a great weekend!

    1. Books are a serious weakness for me as well, and I never really cull my TBR, I just let it keep growing and growing.

  3. I was going to say, being able to read 30 books at once is impressive!

I'm fairly monogamous at this point. (Occasional affairs with audiobooks here and there.)

    1. I have a very good memory for the written word, so as long as I'm not reading stories that are too similar, it's pretty easy to keep the storylines separate for me.

    1. I have a really diverse taste in books, so they're all in different genres and about different things. It helps to keep the storylines separate.
