*Stacking the Shelves* 4 August 2018

(Titles link to Amazon via Amazon Affiliate links)

Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too, which covers the books I receive through Netgalley. So my STS post will feature all the books I've been one-clicking on Amazon.

On that note, here are the books I picked up this week. All Goodreads First Reads ebook wins unless otherwise specified.

Selling with Certainty: Straightforward Advice for Cashing In on the Full Value of Your Business by Terry H. Monroe
And I Darken by Kiersten White - I snagged this book on sale for just $1.99 (still on sale). I've seen the cover on several other blogs, so I rushed to grab a copy when I noticed it was on sale.
The Princess and the Pizza Man by Cassie Mae - I snagged this as a freebie (no longer free) after seeing it shared by either the Platypires or Celebrity Readers...I'm pretty sure both blogs have Cassie Mae fans, so I should really read one of her books one of these days.
Mr. Shipman's Kindergarten Chronicles: December Holidays by Terance Shipman
Ticker by Lisa Mantchev - I snagged this on sale for just 99 cents (no longer on sale, but currently free to borrow for Prime members). I'm intrigued by the cover and the blurb.
Origin by Dan Brown - I snagged this on sale for just $1.99 (no longer on sale) because this is one series that I am mostly current on (because Mr. Brown publishes less frequently than most indie authors). This is one of the Robert Langdon books I did not have yet though.
Travess Land by Quinn Larson
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi
The Chronicle of Heloise and Grimple by Sean Gibson
An Autopsy of Vultures by Bill Yancey
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick - I snagged this on sale for just $1.99 (no longer on sale). It's a book I've heard about in the past, so I figured it made sense to buy it while it was cheap.
Take Me With You by Nina G. Jones - I snagged this on sale for just 99 cents (still on sale) after seeing the author share the sale on Facebook.
Never Be Alone by Paige Dearth
Mixed Brew: A Collection of Verse by Dermot O'Hanlon
Dangerous Good: The Coming Revolution of Men Who Care by Kenny Luck
Ten Reminders for the Single Christian Woman by Pamela Q. Fernandes
An Unobstructed View by Mark Johnson
Saving, Spending, Investing, Giving by Daniel Pecaut
Injustice for Gold in Africa by Travis Knoll
101 Questions for Humanity by J Edward Neill
Magdalena Gottschalk: The Slippery Slope by M. Gail Grant
The Delphi Effect by Rysa Walker - I snagged this on sale for $1.99 (no longer on sale). I seem to remember seeing this cover on a lot of blogs...or maybe I'm confusing it with another space looking cover. I don't know. But it was only $1.99 so probably worth it.
The Peculiar Miracles of Antoinette Martin by Stephanie Knipper - I snagged this on sale for just $1.80 (still on sale). I bought this book because it was compared to The Language of Flowers which I thoroughly enjoyed when I read it years ago for book club.
Save Akili by John Bottern

So that's all the books I picked up over the past week. I spent way more money than normal recently, although I still kept it under $12 (and most of it was using up the free credit I received from buying Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis on Prime Day).

What new books have you added to your shelves recently? - Katie

  1. You always find the most interesting books. I was wondering, do you plan on doing the Christmas challenge again this year?
