What do you know, I have found ANOTHER reading challenge to take part in, and even as I'm contemplating abandoning the others to engage in a different challenge that I've come up with for myself. This challenge is being sponsored by Bookish Lifestyle and it basically just involves me reading books that have been sitting in my TBR pile for ages. If you ever check out my Platypire Read-A-Thon posts, then you know that I have loads of books leftover from last year already on my list, and that list doesn't even count most of the hundreds of books that I've won from Goodreads giveaways, or any of the books that I've bought at my local thrift store over the past 5 years...Honestly, I own thousands of books that I want to read at some point, and I think this challenge may be just the push I need to git'r'done.
Basically the only rule for this challenge is that the books have to have been published in 2015 or before (which does rule out a few of the books from my Platypire Read-A-Thon list, although I kind of feel like if the book has been on my list since the beginning of October, even if it didn't release until 2016, it should still count...but I won't count it, because it's against the rules.)
There are 6 levels to this challenge:
1-10 A Firm Handshake
11-20 A Friendly Hug
21-30 First Kiss
31-40 Sweet Summer Fling
41-50 Could This Be Love?
50+ Married with Children
My goal is Married with Children, because I'm an overachiever like that, but I think I can realistically expect to finish Sweet Summer Fling, so that's my alternate goal I guess. I will try to indicate on each review if the book is part of this challenge, but I'm bound to forget a time or twenty, so be sure to check my Reading Challenges page (where I'm theoretically going to do a better job of tracking that stuff.) - Katie
